——Orginal Post—— I didn’t see this coming, but I guess a press release is all that would be needed for minor updates to the iMac and perhaps other models.

My M1 cost enough that I’m not upgrading until like the M8 or M10…
Can you imagine if they released an 5/6k OLED iMac M2/3 Pro in a press release
That would be way more tempting. I stoped purchasing iMacs because of the screen resolution and size.
When I upgraded from 27 to 32, it was incredible how quickly it felt like the right size.
I’ve been calling for an m-series 27” iMac for years at this point. I understand why they don’t (Mac Mini or Studio + Studio Display) but I really want to see them do it.
