The median is 192,700. Billionaires have so much wealth they skew the average by over 800, 000.
Was gonna ask that question. Thanks.
That is really interesting to me. So they add up all the household wealth and divide it by the number of households and the result is a million per household. We would all be millionaires if it were spread out evenly.
They should include median for context, since the ultra wealthy really skew the numbers.
Like, one of the first sentences includes the median…it’s $192k.
I meant in the headline, but should have said it out old.
You may want to have a word with Ellen Monk about your share in their bank account. Pronouns withheld to not assume their gender.
We could always print a fuckton of dollars and hand them out to people evenly. Then we wouldn’t need to touch his accounts. Prices would skyrocket but you could just invent a new, larger unit of currency equal to x number of dollars
And yet the average household can’t afford a major health crisis, or a house, or to retire.
Now what’s the median
So if we eat the rich we could all be millionaires.
This is misleading clickbait.
Well, they are statically correct. The average stand around a million. If we take a look at the quartiles, the median stands around 192,700, as a comment above said.
Meaningless. Whats the median
Literally one of the first things in the article…$192k.
Not meaningless. Its a great indicator of wealth inequality
LMFAO. Maybe today should just be my last day, because everything is just constantly worse and worse.
And now that without the zop 0,1%
