Reminder that Iran retaliated against Israel for their strike on their embassy in Syria.
We need to get religion out of politics or this will never end. There is no good side to this conflict; its all bad lesser, middling, and greater.
I find it strange that this is being announced publicly. Obviously Israel could have been told in private. Is the announcement simply meant to reassure the American public or is there something else to it?
It’s directed at Iran. It basically sends the message “We don’t want to attack, but if you do, we will defend our interests”. This makes it clear that the US is not interested in aggression, but will make any attack on Israel extremely expensive for Iran.
“We’re just going to give Isreal all the weapons, training, and intel they need and tell Iran if they hit back we’ll decimate them.”
