Is it leading to an outdoor location? Or leading indoor? If so I would just use grey putty, or grey duct seal I think it’s called.
Have you considered contacting the landlord to see if you could just paint it with their permission because if I was a landlord and my tenant wanted to do something like that, assuming they did it properly, I wouldn’t be upset. It would probably be considered an improvement.
I forgot where I watched it, but I heard most duct cleaning services are a scam. They’re operated by an agent outside of the country to get people to come to your house, beat on your ducts, and then show you pictures of how clean they’ve made them, all while charging a pretty penny without actually cleaning them properly.
Work forces us to use okta to do everything. What a pain in the ass.
