California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a bill that makes it easier for authorities to compel treatment for people with mental illness or addiction issues. The proposal is partly aimed at addressing the state’s growing homelessness crisis.
Let’s not write support of antidemocratic fascism off as a mental illness. They are terrible hateful people who are ignorant of many things, but generally quite sane. Unlike the mentally incompetent they deserve the consequences of their behaviors.
