An Israeli artillery strike hit a group of reporters from several outlets who were clearly marked as press.
Israel killing journalists/civilians??? So unexpected 😱😱😱😱😱
In a country they aren’t at war with? No… Say it isn’t so.
The journalist was Hamas, they just didn’t know it. Precognition /s
I’m confused - why are they now attacking Lebanon? I thought their beef was with Hamas.
Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel from Lebanon.
Hezbollah (in Lebanon) has been firing rockets into the Golan Heights, which is technically still Syrian territory according to the UN, but Israel invaded in 1967 and declared theirs in 1981.
Why did they invade…? I know the answer, but I’m concerned that either you don’t, or worse, you do, and are intentionally leaving it out.
I honestly am baffled about how everyone who recounts the history of the Israel’s regional conflicts always magically removes the role played by Arabs, and the Arab states.
Border skirmishes with Hezbollah fighters, mostly sparatic artillery/rockets at the moment. In general it’s not really that unusual for this specific part of the border, but the overall tensions and fluidity do add a much higher escalatory risk than normal.
This is one of the stated rationales for the deployment of the US carrier strike groups, specifically to deter Iran and it’s proxy, Hezbollah, for opening a second front.
Reuters has published non-graphic film of the incident that seems to indicate the video journalists were quite a ways away from active fighting.
How come nobody is talking about the huge role that President Bush’s incompetence played in causing this whole horrible mess?

The takeover this week of the Gaza Strip by the Hamas militant group dedicated to the elimination of Israel demonstrates how much that vision has failed to materialize, in part because of actions taken by the administration. The United States championed Israel’s departure from the Gaza Strip as a first step toward peace and then pressed both Israelis and Palestinians to schedule legislative elections, which Hamas unexpectedly won. Now Hamas is the unchallenged power in Gaza.
