I didn’t say Hamas are good guys. But the idea that Hamas doesn’t want peace or that peace with Hamas is impossible is now nothing more than a bold-faced Israeli lie.
They would if it would get other Arab nations into the war and result in the destruction of Israel.
The problem a lot of people seem to have with this conflict is they want it to be very simple, Palestine existing in a vacuum where they’re just trying to live normal lives… That’s not really the ground reality, it’s a nexus of complex bullshit with crazy influences from all sides and centuries long power struggles.
It sucks for people living there but it’s not a reality we can hand wave away
