While detailing the incident in court, per The Telegraph, prosecutors said Duncan visited a Popeyes location in Macon, where he had previously worked, to pick up his last paycheck.

According to prosecutors, after Duncan walked in, he grabbed a pot of grease and dipped it in the fryer, before he then tossed it at another employee, Kelvin Early.

Per The Telegraph, Early was left with second and third-degree burns.

Three years seems a bit light. That’s a horrific thing to do to someone. Oil and grease burns are no joke, it will mess you up.

Well in a country where partaking in a coup attempt gets you a couple years, it seems spot on!

Yeah. The legal system can be pretty inconsistent and mystifying. I’d like to know more about the injury, and the reasoning behind the sentence.

I got second-degree oil burns last summer and my arm and chest scarred from it. The pain was unreal. My skin was cooking for like 8 hours after the accident and it took a really long time to heal. I can’t imagine what third-degree oil and grease burns are like

Damn. He got 3 years. Good.

Instead of attacking a Popeye’s employee, maybe he should have just attacked the U.S. Capitol instead. He would have only gotten a few months probation.
