It is. I don’t plan on leaving the place any time soon.
Ah okay. I misunderstood a bit lol. I work at an MSP, so I learned that I don’t know jack shit on day one. Every single work day I am met with something new and wacky to fix. The horrors persist, but so do I.
I just started my career in IT, I only have about 3 years of experience in the field. The biggest issue with finding young people, imo, is wanting people with experience. Fresh outta college kids aren’t going to have the knowledge and experience most entry level positions are looking for. I got incredibly lucky with my career, but I know people who were brilliant in college (I was not) who are currently working retail because it’s so hard to get into entry level positions.
I’m 26 and I don’t expect to be able to retire. I just hope I can keep up in my field when I’m old. It’s weird thinking of an old person fixing computers, though.
Windows 11 sucks ass, but I really get tired of people saying you are forced to use an account. There are multiple ways to make a local account in 11 when doing initial setup. It just sucks that it makes most people think that they have to use an account
I think it’s bad on my part, but that’s mostly because I probably have some health issues that are causing my absurd exhaustion.
Not yet. But my eyes are definitely getting worse in regards to the dryness and pain. I thought it was just eye strain, but the doctor was like, “no. There’s definitely something wrong with you.”
I have loads of symptoms that indicate auto-immune disease. My thyroid is also larger than it should be, which has the doctor concerned. She could physically feel how big it is.
Same. It sucks. I have no energy to do anything, so I’m so behind on all my chores
Being seriously evaluated for Sjogren’s Syndrome currently. Went to a rheumatologist for joint pain and found out that my chronic eye pain and dry eyes is a big indicator of a problem. I thought it is because my eyesight is shit and I look at screens constantly
Box ethanol, maybe?
I know what RAM looks like. That’s literally what got me hired over the other candidate at my current MSP job. Other candidate didn’t know that RAM doesn’t have screws and removed the SSD of the laptop in the practical interview. I’d never seen an SSD before, but knew RAM didn’t have screws. I took out the RAM and put it back in and was offered the position an hour later.
I had been fired from a tech support job 4 days before that very suddenly got absolute bullshit reasons and I was having a terrible time psychologically. This job is a million times better than my old one, so getting fired was actually the best thing to happen to my career.
I’m a level one helpdesk tech rn, but will probably become level two in a year or two. My company is really pushing me to grow and advance my career and it’s so great.
I still struggle with the emotional damage getting fired in such a devastating way caused, but I’m going to be getting therapy so I can finally get over it.
You’re not wrong. Still gonna eat the bird tho :)
I do grow those. I’m real good at tomatoes and herbs. Too bad my herbs died in the cold before today. They would have been great for this meal.
Exactly
I decided to go with a duck noodle soup. Like chicken noodle soup, but with duck. I’m going to roast the duck with a poultry bouquet and a lil olive oil, then throw everything in a slow cooker after that. I got carrots, mushrooms, garlic, onion, extra wide egg noodles, and vegetable stock. It isn’t anything fancy, but I haven’t really cooked much for myself.
My parents are taking part of the bird since they helped me with the whole process of making him food. I read my mom your recipe and now she wants to make her part of the bird that way.
This isn’t a wild bird. I raised him from a day old, but the last Muscovy we had tasted a bit gamey. We also butchered it then immediately cooked it. Like the whole process took 3 hours. My stepfather is refrigerating the bird before butchering this time to see if that helps with taste any. I also decided on making duck noodles soup because I’m not in the mood for potatos lol. I got carrots, garlic, mushrooms, vegetable stock extra wide egg noodles, and a seasoning mix called a poultry bouquet. I’m gonna roast the meat with a little olive oil and the poultry bouquet and then put everything in a slow cooker.
Yeah, nah. He was the worst. I thought his issue was that there weren’t enough girls for the amount of boys I had, so I got a fuck ton more girls, but he was still an asshole.
Lmao. Have you ever heard of farming
Do decorative video games maps count?
