I’m not convinced. Sounds more like people having issues with iMessage are now correlating them with their recent Beeper use.

There seems to be no evidence other than that one Reddit post linked in the article with 30 upvotes and like 5 people complaining about being banned from iMessage for spamming after having used Beeper at some point. If this was actually a coordinated banning effort from Apple, I’d expect to see thousands of reports describing the same problem instead.
