Hello everyone,

I have discovered SimpleX Chat (nothing to do with XChat or HexChat, or the favorite letter of some dumb billionaire), and it appears being a legit good effort at providing good privacy while retaining “mainstream” usability.

And it has been audited (by one company so far, it seems).

The only concern I have is with regards to battery life (given that it has to maintain roughly as many open connections as you have contacts, AFAICT).

Has anyone here used it? Any opinion?

Bro, what are you even trying to do? Who cares what it’s called? Terms are important for communication (as in “their shared definition matter”, so for example calling a “substitution” an “interpolation” is just objectively wrong), but proper names, especially product names, can be anything, as long as it’s not an abusive association for profit…

You’re being downvoted because of how irrational, unhinged, off-topic you are, and weirdly intense about it too. That has nothing to do with a “reddit habit”, and everything to do with expressing disagreement. You’re just mad we’re all agreeing on disagreeing with you. I suspect you might really benefit from literally touching grass. Heck, why take chances? Go roll in grass naked. 😁

“Bro”, you’re missing the point entirely, cupcake, and your reflexive routine of sophomoric escalation only further underlines the reddit habit observation. Name your silly thing whatever you want, let the market decide if it wants to use something akin to herpes. Your weepy, whinging mouth already belies your choice.
