uBlock Origin will soon stop functioning in Chrome as Google transitions to new browser extension rules.
minus-squareAntient@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up7·1 month agoI never liked Chrome and this is one more reason not to use it. I use Brave with its built-in adblocker and I recommend it.

minus-squareAntient@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoBrave’s built-in adblocker will still work under Manifest V3.
minus-squaresleepybisexual@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoNice, doesn’t excuse the CEO tho
minus-squareAntient@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoThat’s for sure, but it’s never easy to find a really good CEO.
minus-squaresleepybisexual@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoGood, and CEO are kinda mutually exclusive
minus-squareAntient@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoI see your points, and they are valid. However, I need to sync my browser data to my phone and the mobile version of Firefox is very, very slow.
minus-squaretechnocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·1 month agoI’m pro-crypto enough that I tried Brave but anti-crypto enough that I had to stop. The popup ads were melting my brain and the payment wasn’t worth it.
minus-squareAntient@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoI disabled the popup ads, as they are not essential for using the browser. I ignore the whole crypto part of Brave and I use it like any other browser, except that it is faster and has a built-in ad blocker.

Indeed!
