Several years ago I stopped visiting because SO MANY of their posts were just ads. I went to the site today because a friend linked to a story and just… Wow. The site is cancer now.

This setup can sometimes break sites, needing some slight intervention (once per site), but I never get these popups people complain about. Sites that absolutely refuse to work are rare, but it does happen. In that case, just have a backup Firefox or Chromium browser.

For people complaining about ads and popups, try LibreWolf/Mull with uBlock Origin in medium mode.
