Fake. I am an Apple Support Specialist and I know it’s not from Apple Support. But it seems as your Apple ID has been used for suspicious transactions. Just send me your card information and I’ll sort it out. Please also send me your full name, address, date of birth, social security number, and your complete DNA sequence.

I hear it’s Tim Apple’s power play: Cut off potential users to the competitors by buying out gift card supplies, so they cannot acquire new users. It’s really smart if you think about it!!

That’s actually a really good phish.

My mother could fall for that. My grandmother definitely would.

Other than the use of a comma instead of full stop, it’s almost warming to see the scammers attempt to create a literate scam

While everyone is reveling in how obvious it is, it is important to remember that the vast majority of scams are targeted at the elderly and uneducated. As the tech savvy in the family it’s our job to coach them on best practice. I know you all know this but there’s always the chance someone doesn’t. Protect your grandparents ✌🏻
