The wounded guy? Sure thing. But the other one didn’t seem to be too injured to be taken to a hospital for treatment

Yea the article does seem to make it a bigger thing than it actually is. But, the fact that the management or at least the CEO (that also has a major saying in everyday business and is highly respected/feared) openly shows a disrespect for safety measures and laughs them off as annoying, definitely paints a picture. Sure, accidents happen and maybe the numbers aren’t excessively high, but if management doesn’t take them seriously and learn from them and take measures to reduce the risk, then this becomes really concerning
This shows that he not only is willing to risk his employees safety for the sake of a “greater good” or at least a profitable business. But the fact that he not only ignores safety practices but actively removes those that are already in place just because they don’t please him aesthetically and he doesn’t want to see them is a whole other level of egoism and carelessness. He really doesn’t give a damn about other people
I bet he is. He probably has found some ways to get around this monitoring system. This is just so damn stupid, how can you be so naive to think this would work?
I’m a dad and I just wanted to sleep. Thanks…
Well I mean this is sample size 1. Not possible to say how much the test results were affected by the phones not landing exactly the same way. Maybe one was weakened by an unlucky early drop and then shattered faster? From this, I would not generally infer that one is “better” than the other. But it is still plausible
Why is it even so damn important for him to get rid of bots that he has to take these extreme measures and make the X experience for everyone so bad? Or maybe it’s just always the same excuse to justify his stupid decisions
Why does every news article nowadays repeat itself at least 2 times? There are almost the exact same sentences twice. You don’t even have to read past the abstract because there is no other information at all in the actual text. And besides, you avoid having to scroll past 7 gigantic ads
Correct. Convection would just annihilate your insulating effect
The water creates a better way to transfer heat from the container to the freezer because it has direct contact with the container and replaces the air around it. Yes the water needs to be cooled too, but still the process is way faster because air really is a good insulator for heat. This is why insulating materials for houses e.g. always try to maximize air content (foam, glass wool, styrofoam)
But then again, what is math if you don’t apply it?
Harmless fun
But the file names were not as ordered and consistent like this, they were all over the place. Most of them did not even have proper meta data so I had lots of songs by “unknown artist”. Creating playlists within a music player was a mess, you basically had to sort and play songs via the file system
Thanks, now I got the song stuck in my head. Could be worse though
Replaceable batteries are coming to the EU in general, at least for portable devices, via the EU Batteries Regulation, which is in force already and requires all portable batteries to be easily removable and replaceable by the end user from 2027
