no, they were our parents, and they never let us youngins (now around 50) forget it
I remember running BeOS back in the early 90s so I guess I’d go with Haiku
I remember them from back in the early 00s
There is a fellow kiwi that debunks conspiracies (mostly flat earth) on youtube that has come out as trans (@Planarwalk). The utter vitriol that has been directed at her since she came out (and a little before as she at that stage tended towards effeminate) has been incredible to see. Trans people must be some of the strongest folk around.
thanks, there was nothing about a licence with the original post that i saw
Well that was a rabbit hole
What licence are they using? Do you know something everyone else does not?
Just because Llama Group want to control what goes into FreeLlama? Just like every other open source with a leadership?
Winamp will remain the owner of the software and will decide on the innovations made in the official version
If I release project qwtop as open source I still retain ownership of my code and make the decisions about what makes it into the main release; how is this different so far, when we haven’t seen the licence?
<edit: see post below>
I would like less micro-blog and more old-school blog with the really good threading/comments of lemmy, and the communities of lemmy (maybe magazines of Kbin/Mbin)
This theme seem to be ongoing throughout literature and art, from Hemingway / Banksy to the great…
GNU Terry Pratchett
What I really want is something like hybrid of wordpress/lemmy/mastodon…
Well the documentation is very nice and filled out.
I think I’ll spin up a test container for a project that my Mrs is starting on that I was going to put on wordpress with federation.
Our first daughter had a old smart phone at about 8 (she has just turned 9). It doesn’t have data turned on, so is more or less a dumb phone unless she is at home. I don’t think her little sister could care less about getting one.
I think that it’s good for her to have one as it means she can contact us if she goes up the road to her friends or park/shop.
She doesn’t have it for at school or general day to day life - so it may not be the best example
We are generally vegetarian/peciterian at home, except when we get given free wild venison (a pest species here in NZ)
and in the west we have mink farms (europe) and mass swine and chicken farms, we also have (particularly in the Americas?) have industrial farming of beef/milk. All have the potential (and have done in the past) to do the same fast spread and interspecies transmission of diseases.
This strikes as a little anti China/Asia and ‘think of the poor foxes and dogs’ as why are not ‘western’ things to farm
If I cant remember what dir I’m in, then rm is mot very memory safe is it?
[edit: spelling]
Older than you asked for but I’d vote for Mervyn Peake
Then one that enjoyed but never heard that much about was Sophia McDougall
But, but, but, I thought the US was the land of the free…
I have 3 *BSD vms on proxmox, OpnSense and TrueNAS as well as a GhostBSD desktop for ‘play’. The TrueNAS started as a bare metal install and is now in it’d
3rd4th serverI also have 2 Macs in the house…
So I guess *BSD is well represented here, looking forward to the read
