88 x 8TB drives? 704 TB of storage?
You got a whole damn data center lol. Good stuff dude. Was this off of ebay or direct from a company? I’m curious to know the total cost.

I actually kind of vibe with this. I don’t think its depressing, sounds uplifting to me.
Thanks for helping give the fediverse content. I appreciate you and OP.
That i can’t say. Id imagine no at least on android.
If you dont mind the extra setup, cloudflare tunnels are awesome. https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/connections/connect-networks/
I prefer this over tailscale as i dont want to have an app i need to access my server.
I started off with pi hole when i started messing around with an old laptop for self hosting. My advice is setup what you think is useful.
To access the server outside your home, tailscale is a great option. Fairly simple to setup especially if its just you accessing the server.
Reverse proxy would be best if you intend to let others acess your servers services often or if you dont wanna mess with tunnels. I settled on cloudflare tunnels because i didn’t want another thing to turn on to acess my server outside my house.
When I didn’t have a carrier grade nat to deal with, i used caddy server for automatically getting ssl certs from lets encrypt and reverse proxy all in one. I really liked that once i got it setup.
Hold on, lemme get the dopamine from a new project so i can finish the old one.
Ventoy is pretty great. Ive screwed quite a few usb sticks by flashing isos and now i can just put all the isos on one drive. Its a good tool.
Thats good to know because Fedora seems to be where im heading when i make the switch as well.
It’s a historic victory, particularly because Epic mostly lost its fight against Apple two years ago when Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers decided that fight had nothing to do with apps.
But Epic v. Google turned out to be a very different case. It hinged on secret revenue sharing deals between Google, smartphone makers, and big game developers, ones that Google execs internally believed were designed to keep rival app stores down. It showed that Google was running scared of Epic specifically. And it was all decided by a jury, unlike the Apple ruling.
Oh hey thats me.
My anxiety isnt too bad if im doing something ive done before. In new situations that u haven’t gone through is when my brain kicks it up and starts playing out what could happen and how we would deal with it.
Fair point, to be quite honest it took me a while to even find those two sites. There may be better sources available but i also use duckduckgo for searching so ymmv.
But I absolutely agree with you. I do hybrid remote with my company and it not only saves me time but improves my quality of life significantly even only at 2 days a week.
And thats just what’s normally available as i can request to work from home under special circumstances like when my cat was sick and i wanted to be around to make sure he was alright.
Work from home should be available to everyone it can possibly apply to like office work, programming, call center, etc in my opinion.
Yea i use chatgpt to help me write code for googleappscript and as long as you dont rely on it super heavily and or know how to read and fix the code, its a great tool for saving time especially when you’re new to coding like me.

Couple links i found with sources for the statistics. Owllabs is a common source between tem but i tried to find at least 2 sites with different sources.
Ah I gotcha. Another option im considering is using a separate pc for windows and using a kvm to switch between them. That may be a good option for you as well if you can swing it.
imo dual booting is kinda clunky. Id rather have a vm of windows tbh. I dont like restarting my pc to swtich OS.
But hey if you like it, more power to you man.
Oh that rules! Thanks for sharing that
I’m actually considering making this switch for the same reason. My 1070 ti is still a great card but its starting to struggle a bit with some games.
Openboard is my go-to as well. I like how customizable it is as well. I need bigger keys otherwise i fat finger everything lol.
I supoose that is a drawback if you want to view content in 4k. 1080p still being the standard is good enough for me but i do see your point.
I specifically buy easy dinner stuff while.im out shopping for the same reason. I spent an hour getting food so now imma take it easy and eat this mac and chicken strips from the deli.
