Have you ever used iTunes? Apples music UI has always been dogshit. I find using any of their music stuff to be a chore. If Google wasn’t so evil I’d drop iOS in a heartbeat.
Dethrones? No. Not in the sense it will overtake Windows in numbers.
Grows its gamer ‘market share’? Absolutely.
But in practice we throw innocent people in prison all the time in the USA.
Obligatory “I was a Windows user for decades until a couple months ago but Microsoft’s enshittification drove me to Linux and I have no regrets” post.
The government should never be allowed to put its own citizens to death. The government is not infallible. The government has put innocent people to death.
You forgot about the journalists.
Take your angry hormones outside kid. We’re trying to have a friendly discussion here.
Crack encryption from the mid 70’s? If there even is any on the Voyager command signal, I couldn’t find a reference to any. But if there is, I’d think modern computers are up to the task.
They’d also either need to be able to generate incredibly strong radio waves through space
My guess is that THIS is the actual security feature.
Not to mention… who would even want to? There’s nothing to gain except slight infamy, if you could even prove you were behind it.
I’ve been hunting for a place to rent for a few weeks now so I can sell my home. Mostly looking in the foothills from Littleton to Golden. I’m seeing price cuts on listings and lots of inventory. And lots of overpriced garbage that’s sitting unrented for weeks. Perhaps the tables are turning a little bit.
Enjoy your six figure settlement, Professor! That won’t hurt your retirement plans any.
That’s not been my experience. I’ve been using DDG for years, and when I first switched I would occasionally have to go find something on Google instead. That slowly fell off as the years went by because going to Google and getting better search results became rarer and rarer. It’s to the point now where I don’t even do it, unless I need to look at something on street view.
Please make sure this fuckhead is never allowed to touch a firearm for the rest of his life. And give him a few years in a secluded spot to think about what he did wrong.
Sincerely,

I’ve seen the pictures on Reddit, years ago. After blocking the tank for a while, he walked off the street going left. He was not run over by the tanks in that column at least.
He did not. There are lesser known photos showing him leaving the street. I think a lot of people haven’t seen those.
I’m sure the Chinese government disposed of him if they were able to identify him. But as far as I know he’s never been identified. I hope not. Brave motherfucker.
So you’re the one in my way when I’m shopping in a hurry!!!
One fell out of my dryer today.
I haven’t used one in over a year. Quite perplexing.
You’re illustrating the issue so many people have with this technology. Without a fundamental understanding of how it works, people will attempt to use it in ways it shouldn’t be used, and won’t understand why it isn’t giving them correct information. It simply doesn’t have the ability to do anything but put words in an order that statistically will resemble how a human might answer the question.
LLMs don’t know anything. They can’t tell fact from fiction (and are incapable of even trying), and don’t understand concepts such as verifying info when requested. That’s the problem, they don’t ‘understand’ anything, including what they are telling you. But they do spit out words in a statistically probable order, even if the result is complete bullshit. They do it so well that they can fool most people into thinking the computer actually knows what it’s telling you.
They sell your data.
