It’s just a really great alarm clock app, but with tons of other sleep tracking functionality. I’ve always had trouble sleeping through my alarms, but I never do with this.

I was in the process of applying for the SAVE program when it was blocked. I don’t know why or how but this put my payments on hold for another year. Not as good as paying it off, but still a huge help.

I was supervising filling in a pit we had dug on the edge of a forest. We had dump trucks coming in dumping gravel. One particular driver wasn’t great at his job and there had been issues with him in the past.

That driver came in and dumped his gravel, but then he drove off with his bed still raised and almost immediately smashed into electric lines that ran off into the forest. One telephone pole even snapped at the base and fell over.

Within 30 seconds multiple cops came speeding onto the job site. It turns out those electric lines ran to a radio tower in the woods that ran the police radio. The idiot in the dump truck had taken out the police comms for the whole town.

I mean, the server is a victim too, aren’t they? I would be horrified if something so simple I did killed someone.

While I agree service jobs deserve a lot more pay and better training, it just isn’t fair to put a person’s literal life in the hands of someone who just signed up to serve coffee. They didn’t sign up for that responsibility.

I’m sorry, but it is entirely unreasonable to put whether or not you live or die in the hands of a minimum wage service worker. If a sip of milk or a bit of egg would kill you, you need to prepare your own food.

4 week board and train program. It cost $4500.

Our standard poodle is a rescue that was heavily abused by her previous owner. She would get scared and bite. I figured the training would be cheaper than a lawsuit. It’s made a HUGE difference in her behavior.

There is no saying they couldn’t go down to district court level and continue to serve. It would also be possible to make a solid living getting paid to do speeches at various schools and institutions.

That fried the circuits of 1/3 of the house. Some amateur electrician tied in several new circuits into the same kitchen breaker. They used undergauged wire on top of it.

Cost us $6k to fix and that was a hell of a deal from some Covid - unemployed union electricians. They put in 3 breakers where there was one before. The electrician had a hell of a time tracking where all the lines came from. That included a 3ft fireball shooter ng out of the wall because a line was love when it shouldn’t have been.
