I think Dave just became an old man with set opinions earlier than he was supposed to.
He has similar energy to a not-quite-racist-but-certainly-off-color grandpa.

I was so confused in 2016 by everyone who was excited for Trump, and I didn’t quite get why.
Now those same people feel a lot more comfortable saying horrible opinions in public and I’m like oh, that was why.
Yeah, the get over it in this context is more of… an attempt? At empathy. Instead of “we have to get over it” it should have been something like “we will get through this”.
He’s said worse things though.
That was Roy, not Moss.
If the grenades dropped on the floor when most people were sitting at a table the table may have obstructed shrapnel and prevented it from reaching any organs whose breach would result in immediate death (heart, brain, etc.). It would have to hit a major artery to kill near quickly on the lower body which isn’t a huge target.
Instead, it probably hit the legs and possibly some lower body organs, which can still be deadly but less immediate.
It’s insane that the guy who dropped them at his own feet survived though. Dude must be half shrapnel at that range.
I can’t imagine how hard it is to get a job to get yourself back on your feet when you don’t even have a permanent address.
The Old “will the Screensaver hit the corner” method
More importantly, are they a lifeforms that we would even recognize as alive? The chances of an alien being humanoid are even slimmer. Then there’s whether they develop intelligence, whether they care about space, and whether they survive long enough to get anywhere.
Kind of feels like burning a house down to kill a spider.
I’m doing the least social media I’ve done since Facebook became a thing and now I realize that without those emotions I’m just kind of bored.
Little enough that now if I do it just comes off as sarcastic.
And you’re not obliged to. There’s nothing immoral about not going out of your way to help people especially at risk to yourself.
While they are people and should be treated with dignity and not like animals, they are still people and like any stranger can be dangerous and unpredictable, especially in desperation.
Not to mention at least near where I live about a third of the homeless are mentally ill due to the state’s incapacity to care for such people.
I’ve started getting angry when people declare that they refuse to give money to people begging because they’ll just use it on drugs. More because of how frequently it comes up.
They aren’t obliged to help anyone but just assuming every homeless person is a drug addict is so condescending.
And even if they were they are still a person and the money they beg for will is some part contribute to feeding them. You can’t subsist off of drugs.
I see the same people burn money on the dumbest shit but act like giving money to homeless people is a sin against God.
Hamas should go die in a ditch. Doesn’t mean Israel should murder civilians wholesale.
To be fair, the genocide did not cause a world war. The invasion of surrounding countries did.
The world was uncomfortable chill with genocide before that.
I think the kind of person who would want to benefit the masses would be someone who wouldn’t seek power.
Would be a fun experiment to just force temporary authority on people randomly.
Even then people will create pseudo races to discriminate. Just look at Rwanda and Burundi. Hutu and Tutsi are not even genetically distinct, yet a huge war between the two broke out along the lines of “race”.
Instructions unclear, now comfortable with pissing myself.
It isn’t that they don’t want to list previous names it’s that the law was buried and not made apparent to the candidate. It wasn’t on the candidate requirement guide, the petition has no space for former names, many people weren’teven aware of the law’s existence.
While I don’t disagree with the law in theory (listing previous names in normal for things like background checks) it’s clear this law was dug up specifically to try to disqualify the candidate in bad faith.
