Oh, so we let Capitalism destroy the planet and the ability to easily grow crops …and then resort to running around in the heat doing cannibalism?.. do we know they were billionaires at this point, or is there just still enough meat on them to make them worth hunting?

That’s the problem with post-Capitalist clarity, it leaves you in a really painful situation, and there may be no other destination possible. It nay be the only place Capitalism ends.

That doesn’t even address whether there’s a market in human meat and wealthy traders… And how Capitalist that market started. Oh Capitalism may not have ended yet in this scenario…

  • You could really ask this question of anyone about anything. There will always be substantial differences between one person’s life and another. Having had children doesn’t necessarily denote that difference, even less so for men as some fathers don’t stick around and instead go live their own lives seemingly uninterrupted.

But think of how many things people sink great amounts of time and effort into; gambling, becoming a practicing doctor, hedge fund trading, starting a charity, programming… Those people will probably all have large amounts of time devoted to those things.

Of course there’ll be many things that don’t compare, and some that do… Then you must also factor in that it’s a trauma for some people. Some people end up not liking their children, kicking them out, disconnecting.

Human nature is hugely variable. What’s it like being a good person? What’s it like being rich? What’s it like being homeless and a drug addict? What’s ut like being happy? What’s it like in prison? What’s it like as mayor? Or psychiatrist? Or teacher?

What’s it like not like doing any of the things mentioned here? Well, that question, your post, is really about you, isn’t it? It’s about you asking others “what would my life be if I didn’t, or don’t have kids?”

    So, why are you asking?

  • Trump later invited Musk on stage. The X owner walked on wearing a black blazer over a shirt saying “Occupy Mars” and a black MAGA hat. “As you can see, I’m not just MAGA,” said Musk. “I’m dark MAGA.” Dark MAGA is a memecoin, a type of cryptocurrency inspired by online trends. The valuation of Dark MAGA soared right around the time that Musk spoke.

That’s so grifty. So overtly grifty that it’s approaching “hello fellow kids” levels of transparency. Up there with Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand praying together. It’s just strange and funny to see these grifters all clumping together like this.

  • People feel wronged and betrayed by the system, and like they need that reflected in who they vote for as their representative.

He is that person for those people (hence why they love the mugshot).

The Republican side of politics knows this is the emotional driver, so they direct most of their media to that kind of grievance politics, and claiming they’ll “fix” these persecution issues in extraordinary ways.

People like Musk and Thiel fund these campaigns.

Trump thinks he can fix it all by breaking the system that he sees as persecuting him; the system of democracy and the rule of law.

So he wants all its powers. He wants to be a dictator. Then you’ll see his politics and only his, and there’ll be no more persecution, no more broken system. Just him.

That’s how the right wingers feel. They’re emotionally locked into this.

That’s why they’re still on board, for the political solution to their emotional disenfranchisement, for their own sense something’s wrong with everyone but them to he proven out with power. Being onboard with Trump proves there’s a broken system they’ve been wronged by, and someone powerful is in that boat with them.

It’s a cult, just as much as neoliberal compromise with the Capitalist forces of self-sacrifice is a cult.
