It’s impressive how few people get past the headline

Insidious and Piped are great but I hate it when people post them, it’s always a gamble on if it’s a legit instance or a malicious site. IMO YouTube or https://redirect.invidious.io/ are the only ways people should share YouTube videos
I do think AI has a place and purpose, but it’s not going to cost people their jobs, only help them do it more efficiently. It’s great in assisting people but not replacing
Thats my whole point, people who utilize AI(I agree with you calling LLMs AI is dumb but thats how it is currently used and more people understand “AI” then “LLM”) will do the job more efficiently and therefor you’ll need less people to do the same job (which is why i used CAD as an example because doing the drawings by hand will take way longer) which results in people losing their job because they are no longer needed
AI (LLMs) is just a tool and people will have to learn how to use it if they wanna keep their jobs, people who refuse to learn it will be left behind just like people who refused to use CAD software or people who think they can saw, drill, … by hand as fast as a machine.
Current AIs (LLMs) wont replace anyone, people who know how to use them will.
That’s the half that won’t learn how to use it and lose their job because of it
Happy to see I’m not the only one who can think
Hmm interesting, my take is fuck the Hamas, fuck the Israeli government both have done horrible things (and no I won’t support one over the other because A is a tiny bit less horrible the B), I want the civilians on both sides to be able to live a peaceful life.
Idk about the public opinion but I’m not surprised that people are not publicly showing their support for Israel > if you look into the news people are getting stabbed for showing it.
I totally agree with you critical thinking and discussion is the best that can happen but at least at the time of writing my comment i didn’t see any of it, most of what i saw was:
The only helpful things that I saw were when people pointed out spelling mistakes.
if it seems “horribly biased” let them know why you have that feeling so they can improve on it.
I also don’t see how a paid service is antithetical (nice word btw, never heard it before) to privacy > yes Kagi might be able to link all searches to each account (I didn’t do too much research on how they implemented it) but that doesn’t mean that its not possible to implement it in a way were they wouldn’t be able to do that.
So yea, critical thinking and discussion GoGoGo but “you’re wrong, I’m right lol”(obviously made up but some comments here (meaning this community not just this post) give me that feeling) is none of that
The comments here perfectly show what’s wrong with this community, “You don’t agree that my favourite service is #1 you’re clearly biased/a bot/paid”
“Your fav service has this problem use xyz instead” “XYZ has the exact same problem” “ahhh paid shill you’re super biased”
“I’ve never heard of your website before, you’re clearly a paid shill/bot”
“Ahhh they use crash logs, nothing should ever collect crash logs because I like it when the software I have never gets fixed”
“How dare you even talk about something that isn’t free > free as in libre and not as in price oh wait no I mean as in price because I will never pay for anything”
I also don’t understand, I’m a scart kid
I’d use tailscale or zerotier, super easy use
