Could be worth looking into Misophonia. Basically it’s an irrational anger response to specific noises that vary person to person. I don’t know enough about it to say how it can be dealt with, but it may be something you could find a specialist for.

I wanted to say that’s not what ‘anti-hero’ means, but I kind of see where you’re coming from. In my mind, an anti-hero does terrible stuff to achieve good goals (Deadpool being a prime example), while John McClaine does do some pretty vicious things, but is more or less just trying to survive, not because he wants to do the terrible things.
In minor defense of DH4, which I agree goes beyond the premise of the first 3, it does kind of follow that John would be better able to do some crazier things after going through the events of the first 3 movies. He still shouldn’t be indestructible, but his experiences definitely qualify him as badass at that point. I also still like DH4, so I wanna justify that somewhat, hah. DH5 is just not good, though.
I mean, I don’t think Moonlighting really targeted preteens and children, so that tracks.
Dredd (2012) is just “Die Hard on LSD”
Jokes aside, Dredd rules.
“This thing doesn’t have a single horse? What’s up with that?!”
I think it’s less “this line is for emergencies” and more “our online process could takes days to get a response, here’s a line to a real human”.
There’s a profile option to explicitly mark a profile as a bot, and another to hide all bot accounts. Of course that only works if the first option is used at all.
Not sure if I just lack the morbid curiosity most people have, but I never understood the draw to look for those things. I’d hear about them and just put it on a mental list to never touch.
I’m assuming this is more a comment on the modern news cycle than about Reddit. Hell, most things barely last a few days outside of their immediate time frame, let alone a week.
Some things just completely skew your home page with just a single viewing. I am very careful with my watch history, only watching one off stuff from other sites in a private window. That seems to work well.
Go into the viewing history and wipe it. Then maybe view some more normal stuff to set it on a good track. That should give a good reset for her, though it wouldn’t stop her from just looking it up again, of course.
This is not a comment on you, but I do the same thing and have come to realize it’s at least in part a response to being judged in some way (or feeling judged at least) over things I shared with my family, so now I just don’t share.
If it’s important to you, it might be worth having a conversation about why they are withholding and, if it’s for similar reasons, addressing why they feel that way and assuring them you’ll do your best to keep them from feeling bad about sharing.
Those are findings specifically from industrial areas, and specifies that it is levels over 75db that are dangerous for the most sensitive individuals (younger people). I’m not sure what the db exposure for a service on one’s yard would be, but I doubt it’s on the same level as working in a factory.
How would one find this? Is it just a console command?
Fair enough. Glad you got out!
I gotta ask, why did you never look at third-party options if you found it so miserable?
The dead can’t say one way or another how they would have felt, and using them as a voiceless weapon is pretty shitty.
What Spez is doing is bad enough on it’s own. There’s no need at all to disrespect the dead like that just to shore up your righteousness.
I dunno. If someone’s building a PC, they are most probably using it for more than just chrome-level stuff. And for me at least, if I’m going to spend the time and money on new components, I’m going to get the biggest and best that I can afford/justify. The higher end comments are going to fair much better as tech develops further along, and I consider them an investment into not going through the same process again in just a few years time.
