Oof, that sounds really bad… I haven’t had any issues with it so far in the ~3 years I’ve been using it (I had it on my old T430s for the longest time); don’t even know how I first found out about it, I think it got a lot of coverage when it first came out.
I’m not trying to discredit your comment, far from it, neither am I really recommending Manjaro; I know that there are better alternatives but I’m a lazy bum, so I just installed the first distro that came to mind (kinda embarrassing considering how meticulously I planed every other aspect of my switch-over to Linux). Thanks for your comment, though.
Do you have any tips for me as far as staying on Manjaro is concerned?
I switched to using Manjaro full time recently
Or let a super mutant do it for you if you’ve bought the add-on
Samsung; just a lot of general very anti-consumer behaviour.
LG; a “do not sell my data” option on a TV that’s turned off as standard? No, thanks.
ASUS; has become pretty unreliable in my experience and their RMA shenanigans haven’t helped.
Apple; overpriced and anti-consumer, I wouldn’t mind getting a MacBook as a gift or something, though…
HP; cheap garbage that’s obsolete the moment you buy it and becomes e-waste after the warranty has expired. Their business line is marginally better but there are far better options out there.
Huawei; see above.
Nestlé; do I really have to explain? They’re pretty much the worst company to ever exist.
Spotify; endless price-hikes to enable the CEO to buy more soccer teams and firearm manufacturer shares, pay artists almost nothing per stream, disabled their car thing after two years, lied about Spotify Hi-Fi…
I guess we just didn’t expect to see this kind of realism from a TV screen until it came out, it was a totally new arguably ground-braking thing. Especially with fictional media, which is why James Cameron’s Avatar was so great in 3D (despite being utterly boring IMO).
Think about it, the first HD television broadcasts started in the early 90s in Japan. How exciting that must’ve been. They even got HD movies in the form of Hi-Vision Laserdiscs.
Reminds me of that one time someone on some forum linked to a Jeff The Killer screamer site (basically the same thing you’ve described) and I clicked on it.
It initially didn’t even work, because I was using NoScript at the time… So I disabled NoScript temporarily and refreshed the page. It being about 2 in the morning and the speakers being tuned up didn’t help.
There’s this suit of useful little programs called Microsoft PowerToys, I always thought it should include a tool that allows you to quickly swap the contents of monitors around in multi-monitor setups.
e.g. move all open windows from monitor 1 to monitor 2 and vice-versa, while retaining their (approximate) position.
This may already be a thing, I haven’t really checked.
I’m trying my best but I don’t think so. I can be very insensitive without me knowing it.
No, but I’ve been on rotten.com (don’t bother clicking the link; the site is long gone) back in the day… similar experience
Princess Mononoke.
I was maybe 10 years old when I first watched it on a pirated DVD copy.
Haiku is already pretty great to use in my opinion, despite still being in beta; with the right hardware you could easily daily drive it
Poor thing
Coldplay switched to making lifeless, generic pop music…
The text is going to be covered by your hands 99% of the time anyway and besides, *****s have a distinct enough design that the text is gonna be the least of your worries.
Try using IPA on a spot you normally can’t see in case it damages the material, it might help rub off the text. If that doesn’t work just get a different case. Decent ones aren’t that expensive (versus the device’s price).
Edit: Why does it say “Taiwan”?
Paul McCartney died in a car crash in 1966 and was replaced by a Canadian man the British government had kidnapped for that purpose. After extensive facial surgery he took on McCartney’s role and no one noticed it.
Apart from John Lennon who hid cryptic clues to Faul’s real identity and the real Paul’s fate in the lyrics of famous Beatles songs.
It’s true.
Peter Gabriel era Genesis was pretty goofy, as well as some of his solo stuff.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is pretty much the goofiest band known to man right now; especially if you listen to their earlier stuff like Cellophane or Vegemite.
I’ve never paid that much for a used CD on eBay and I don’t think I only listen to popular or well-known artists…
Try the Discogs Marketplace if you haven’t had any luck on eBay, sellers there tend to know a bit more about how much their stuff is worth. It’s pretty nice if you’re looking for a particular pressing, too.
Used audio CDs are so cheap (most are anyways) that I don’t see any point in making your own, other than making a physical play list.
Thinking about it, I have two optical drives in my PC and never even used them to burn a CD…
As long as twitter.com redirects to X, it’s officially still called Twitter, I don’t care what Elmo says
