You don’t have to be racist to be ridiculous.
Vincent Wasney was told that after having three seizures aboard the Independence of the Seas liner and receiving a blood test and medication, he owed more than $2,500, which had to be paid before he could disembark.
There’s all kinds of what the fuck in this story, but this is the part that really gets me. How can they hold a person hostage like that? How does the cruise line management sleep at night knowing Florida man might be out there looking for revenge?
I’d comply and remove that info from the signature. I’d just start every email with:
Hello,
Thanks for reading my email. In case we’re not already familiar, my pronouns are he/him and I’m affiliated with…
Making deals like that it’s no wonder you aren’t rich
Most isn’t all and that’s the point. You can be concerned about the ethical treatment of animals without going full vegan, you’ll just need to pay more attention and money at the grocery store to support the right products.
TIL the eggs from my backyard chickens might be from a factory farm
No one likes being criticized and labeled a monster by an ignorant prick. They way too frequently act like every egg comes from a half zombie chicken that’s kept in a little box and tortured just for fun, or that a cow couldn’t possibly end up in a cheeseburger after living its best life. Factory farming is bad for lots of reasons, but it’s not characteristic of the entire industry.
The path of a bullet is parabolic. You ain’t hitting shit with that math, yo.
Pretty sure you took that the wrong way.
I disagree. We should be SWATting each other left and right until enough toddlers get flash banged that we are forced to rethink the entire concept. Apparently two toddlers isn’t enough, gotta pump those numbers UP!
Imagine giving immortal corporations a property tax based on 1976 prices plus a maximum annual increase of 2% instead of just granting an exception to property taxes for your primary residence. Imagine leaving your grandkids with no money to run a government because you’re that fucking dumb and greedy. Fuck the boomers, I hope the PG&E bills to cool their giant homes fucking bury them.
It’s extra fucked in California because the boomers passed a law to set property taxes at the time of purchase and only allow for small increases over the years. Rising home prices don’t have corresponding rising taxes so the old farts are never priced out of their huge empty houses.
Comparing market cap to earnings just shows you have no clue
Tesla’s been around for long enough that they’ll survive.
How do you figure that works, and why couldn’t these guys figure it out?
Oldsmobile (1897-2004): Once a popular and innovative brand, Oldsmobile struggled in the later years with uninspiring models and eventually met its demise under General Motors.
Packard (1899-1958): Known for their luxury and craftsmanship, Packard couldn’t compete with rising costs and changing consumer preferences in the post-war era.
Studebaker (1902-1966): A pioneer in automotive design, Studebaker faced financial difficulties and ultimately lost market share to bigger players like Ford and GM.
Hudson (1909-1954): Merged with Nash to form American Motors, Hudson was known for its affordable and stylish cars, but ultimately couldn’t weather the competitive landscape.
Willys-Overland (1908-1963): Responsible for the iconic Jeep, Willys-Overland struggled with diversifying its offerings and was eventually acquired by Kaiser Industries.
DeSoto (1928-1960): A Chrysler brand known for its mid-range offerings, DeSoto faced declining sales and was eventually phased out in favor of other Chrysler models.
Mercury (1939-2011): Ford’s upscale division, Mercury faced competition from its own parent company and other luxury brands, leading to its discontinuation.
Plymouth (1928-2001): Another Chrysler brand, Plymouth offered affordable and practical cars, but couldn’t keep up with changing consumer tastes and was eventually discontinued.
AMC (1954-1988): Born from the merger of Hudson and Nash, AMC found success with innovative designs like the Jeep and Gremlin, but ultimately couldn’t overcome financial challenges and was acquired by Chrysler.
Saturn (1990-2010): General Motors’ attempt at a revolutionary, customer-centric brand, Saturn faced production issues and market challenges, leading to its closure.
Dude’s delusional thinking he’s going to crush Mayo Clinic while his employees pass COVID back and forth. Straight goofball thinking.
Yeah, I actually went and looked it up and found that many of the executives responsible resigned or got fired, and some went to prison, but let’s not let that interrupt our circle jerk.
Better put ‘gun free zone’ on that sign, just in case
Did those guys not get fired?
Oh dang, apologies to the hive mind. Volkswagen bad, evil employees, actively attempting to destroy the earth, cannot be deterred or corrected. We good now?
Would you please be the boss of me now?
