The train ride actually reassured me that moving far away was the right choice. Where I live now the trains are on point and you see beatiful landscapes instead of coal reactors and warehouses while riding them.
Yea without disclosing anything too specific: I have to drive through cologne to get home. The entire region is having problems with floods, but my city is facing additional complications.
My train was stopped in the middle of my ride home because of a terrorist attack, I may have missed the last ever chance to celebrate with my great-grandmother because my entire extended family got COVID, my hometown is desperately trying to prevent a huge flood and when i found out that i would be sad and lonely on christmas my muslim friends ghosted me :) So its a mix of some circumstances.

Yeees. But some of the guidelines are confusing. So the basic rule is that you have to keep a “2-second distance”. This is the distance you vehicle would travel in two second without breaking. The Formular is 2x(v²/100). But at lower speeds its a completely different calculation. And when you are waaay faster you are supposed to leave half your speed in metres as a gap. Then there are separate rules for fog and long vehicles and multiple vehicles that drive in a row on one lane roads and all that.
There are also rules for the distance you should keep to the cars and especially bikes next to you and they are different depending on if you are in a “place” or outside of one :)
My driving instructor told me about a Czech guy who drove to Germany to have fun with his expensive car. He reached well over 300km/h and the local government pressed charges. They claimed that although there is no direct speed limit, drivers are supposed to drive at reasonable speed given all circumstances. But because the man made sure to drive at 4 in the morning on the middle of nowhere all charges where dropped.
330km/h is the sound barrier. Sooo you can legally break the sound barrier on the Autobahn.
Yea same in Germany. I think you can be sick for six weeks and still receive your full wage. After that health insurance pays you at least 70% and at most 90% of your income. Buuuut the money you receive from your insurance is tax free (it may increase the taxes you will have to pay in the future though)
Hey that’s sick. I thought I was alone. I got really interested in sewing and embroidery but I don’t really go on other social media so I never knew. It’s really relaxing, you can create your own stille and you don’t even have to be particularly “creative”.
