Ooof. I wonder if she was going to try to be a doctor… and I wonder how ethics boards and such will view actions like these. Probably just blew up her entire career with some stupidity.

You don’t need someone to tell you don’t pretend to be a doctor. Maybe you do need to tell people not to be a piece of shit, but let me help.
Stop being pieces of shit.
shrug and?
I know most people want “New cars” and fine, go chase that over priced luxury, but I’d rather a car that’s 1-2 years old that’s dropped more than half the price, and being passed over because new shiny thing came out.
People shouldn’t have to drive beaters, but buying a car for 10k isn’t a bad decision unless you’re extremely well off our only care about status symbols.
Like there’s a reason I was able to buy a house, and a good job helped, but also my wife and I lived with in our means, which is something I feel that isn’t talked about in the consumerism age. (You can buy something new, but for most things you don’t need a yearly iphone/car/or anything. A good 50 inch tv works well for a tenth of the price of the newest one. ) And yet I see people complain about not having a lot of money yet they’re always talking about the newest graphics cards, newest tvs, and newest tech… I wonder why.
Spotify has definitely helped me to discover new artists, but then I mostly listen to that artist on Spotify (Mostly because I’m not in their country.)
LIght a fire.
Two possibilities, no more Racoon, or a delicious flame broiled Racoon.
Shit I forgot “Racoon drops out of the chimney, lights tail on file, runs around house like a racoon with a tail on fire, and burns down your house…” so three possibilities
Are we getting Spotify for free, if we’re buying premium?
The problem is you can’t “buy” products any more. Companies see that as interest, and then start to throw additional advertising to see how much they can get away with. Fuck that shit.
They’ve also run almost any way to do it outside of their ecosystems. If I want to listen to happy hardcore music, I have to hope spotify has it, but it’s rare to find that on most playlists, I’d have to go spend thousands of dollars for the same experience that Spotify offers, and that’s to own every track I’m even curious about.
There’s probably bullshit jobs.
But there’s probably a lot that you think are “Bullshit jobs” and really you mean “I don’t see what they do” I thought “Scrum master” was a joke of a title for someone to do fuck all. Then I had to take over for my scrum master for 2 weeks. Holy shit, that was the most eye opening experience. He’s in 6 hours of meetings a day, talking to management, designing future work, working on requirements, dealing with the minutia, dealing with three different PMs who need work done by us, and prioritizing their requests to get everything done, assisting everyone on and off the team, and basically keeping the 6 of us on the team from dealing with what we would call “Annoying pointless shit” which is actually really important for other people.
My scrum master talks about “Seeing the bigger picture” and I get it now. But the thing is it’d also be really easy for someone to think he has a “Bullshit job”… but he’s also the reason we work 40 hour weeks and not 80 hours.
You nailed it. It’s artificially deflated prices, and dishonest…
Would be the last time I visited them.
I tip twenty most places. Easy to calculate and fair.
I see this and they have gotten my tip. If you work there and are upset by that, then you need to find another job because the company is stealing your tips no matter what. And I personally won’t return, because it’s never the best restaurants who pull this shit.
Similarly if a company puts automatic gratuity on my bill that’s the tip as well… And usually it’s less than I’d give freely.
If Americans are supposed to tip extra it their choice. If you want to define service charges or something like this, then you’ve made your choice. Greedy fucks trying to hide these extra charges need to stop. I’ll pay more for food on a menu if that’s what it takes but trying to sneak it is bullshit.
Let me put it this way.
If you don’t like your bidet, you don’t trigger it. If you like it, you enjoy it.
My wife and I enjoy it quite a bit. To the point that when I used the other bathroom, there’s been at least one case, where I’ve cleaned up in there, went into the other bathroom and got a better clean.
As for “how to use it” It will depend on the bidet on how to use it, but for ours you turn the knob, spray your special areas (There’s two directions to turn, as a guy I don’t notice a major difference, but I imagine a woman might, as one spray feels a bit “longer”, but not to the point where I think it’ll hit everything down there" You get jet water on your bum, I tend to move around a little to make sure it’s getting the whole area, then turn it off. Then wipe (I use toilet paper).
You wipe more to “Dry” than to “Clean” which is a lovely feeling.
There’s two must buys in the bathroom, the squatty potty and the bidet. I would say the Squatty potty is more important (I miss it more) but the bidet is getting up there.
I take that more as a good sign. We should have limited laws rather than a law for everything possible someone can do wrong.
Then again the fact should be seen as a condemnation of that woman. Don’t be the reason a new law is made.
Depends but pretty much sure.
I’d rather take a lot of money from someone I hate so I can donate it to stuff I like than a little money from people already doing what I want.
Obviously good pay is subjective but at the end of they day you need to eat and pay for housing. Not everyone is going to ideologically match with their company.
Also how else can these companies change if everyone buys the corporate line who works for them.
Lol me too. I was just thinking the expensive corporate printers I’ve used. Home printers have to be more sixty percent of the time on a good day.
politics-related data
Yes.
I’m annoyed with how low-effort, entirely un-researched content
And you think a wiki will solve that? Lol… yeah this is a bad idea.
No one should trust a wiki for anything other than information on a tv show or a boss, and even then trust but verify. And this is something that you would need to trust.
You’re better off creating a blog, or find already established blogs who do this, because stuff like Five Three Eight exists. ’
“Original research”
There’s a reason peer reviewed research is practically required, and even then there’s HUGE problems with that model, but having people go out for original research is basically saying “Let people make up bullshit.”… not a good idea.
I’ve a theory that no printer anywhere has ever properly worked, and people are just happy with 95 percent of a usable printer.
It might not be that crazy.
Try running two applications that require different versions of a package on linux. fun
Like Linux might be the best for choosing when to update, but everytime I’ve HAD to update, it’s more because of a new hellish problem that I need to resolve, where as Windows/Apple works as expected.
Add to that the forced update on Windows are security updates. Linux doesn’t force security updates which means if you’re not keeping on top of it, your linux system has security issues that have hopefully been patched already, but you’re not on the latest.
Also same reason I’m ok with Android not allowing roll back, but I DO fucking mind that my 64 gig phone had 10 gigs of System space… and now has 22 gigs of system space because of updates/bloat.
And that’s also before I start talking about Python and assholes who don’t use virtual enviroments, and requirement files… Sorry sorry, not technically linux specifically, but god damn that’s a huge pet peeve.
And people still use python2!!!. Ok I’ll stop now,. But holy shit that bothers me.
Exactly this and for that reason. If it’s minced you always have to chop… there almost never a reason to skip one or the other. And the exceptions like spaghetti with garlic need carefully sliced garlic. Mmm so good.
Wait… You built a computer. Installed an OS on it, one of the easiest OSes to install… And now are having an issue installing steam… And somehow it’s the OS’ fault?
This is either fake, trying to pirate windows, or your trying to avoid responsibility for not being able to assemble a simple computer. Wtf?
It doesn’t on mine…
But honestly Youtube needs to make it optional if people get shorts, it’s ruined too many channels, and is just a worthless waste of bandwidth. If I wanted shitty clickbait content I’d just go to tiktok in the first place, I’m on Youtube because I’m expecting some quality.
It’s one of the reasons I won’t let that bullshit touch my main channel. Other Youtubers have said they have had massive growth (usually counted in “Views” which they can’t understand isn’t the same thing for both categories) but in general shorts have made me unsubscribe from too many channels for me to even consider it.
Yeah but when am I going to be able to watch AI-Generated Videos on Pornhub. (That I get to choose the content of).
Honestly I’m so over hearing about AI. It’s either “Look at this average thing that AI has done (after giving X amount of attempts we won’t tell you about).” or “Look at this average thing that AI has done (after giving X amount of attempts we won’t tell you about) Isn’t it scary?”
OH AI is wrong? Oh AI is doing something better than humans? Oh people might use AI versus doing nothing? Oh AI might replace cheap labor (fiver jobs)… AI will kill you, AI will heal you, AI has transcended humanity… AI has doomed us all.
It’s all fucking clickbait at this point and I’m just already so fucking tired of hearing about it because none of it has value.
But umm… that Pornhub video thing… let me know when that comes out.
