Again, so many postings of the same article by OP. Pick the most appropriate community and stick with it please.
I had to read the whole article to get to this info: Depending on what Chrome version you’re using, and whether you’ve been selected to start using Topics API, you can switch this functionality off and on by visiting chrome://settings/adPrivacy and/or chrome://settings/privacySandbox – cut’n’paste these URLs into your address bar to jump straight to the controls.
With the tree, I was thinking along the lines of termites and/or other bugs.
What a rigamarole! I didn’t even think that far into it! It just looked like a bad idea, and you gave a good explanation why. I’m also pretty sure having a full-sized dead tree in the house isn’t the best idea either. I bet this house looked good on paper…
A very unique house in a very cold climate: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3328-E-Superior-St-Duluth-MN-55804/61518190_zpid/
It looks like a tornado hit everything but the house.
Here’s the exterior:
I always liked the band Jellyfish.
I just took a gander over to Wikipedia to learn why they broke up. It was there where I read one of the best break up write ups ever:
“During the tour for Spilt Milk, Sturmer and Manning grew increasingly distant as friends. On their return home, the two songwriters independently wrote material for a third album, provisionally titled Nausea Trois. By then, they were drifting apart musically. Manning remembered that, prior, they would bond over albums such as Paul McCartney’s Ram or the Zombies’ Odessey and Oracle; however, “it was clear that none of that was happening anymore.” He said that he was “rediscovering my love of […] high-energy, fun melodic pop with attitude. And Andy was Leonard Cohen. That was it.” When Sturmer presented him a country ballad song, he accordingly “left in tears because I had zero interest in recording it.” Sturmer felt that Manning had outgrown the partnership, and for his part, was fearful that Manning’s new songs would likely inspire journalists to persistently compare the band to Alice Cooper.”
Really paints a picture!
They were a good band while it lasted.
Also…In 2004 or 2005, Coachella organizers invited Manning to reunite Jellyfish for a one-off performance at the festival. Manning advised the organizers to consult Sturmer first. Sturmer, through his lawyer, responded he would not accept the offer regardless of any amount of money involved.
Woah!!
Thanx for the reply! For some reason, I didn’t get the results in my search bar via the Connect app, but I was able to subscribe via my desktop. Not sure what the difference is, but at least I can see my working cats now :)
Maybe you can help me. I joined under Lemm.ee. I want to subscribe to c/catswithjobs@lemmy.world but it doesn’t show up on my search list. What do I type in to find it?
Agh, I’m not excited about having to do that. I like to keep things simple.
okay, that makes it easy. Thanx for replying!
okie dokie, thanx! I was just wondering since I just read something about beehaw communities shadow banning if I sign up for certain other communities and was wondering if that had something to do with it. Reference: https://lemm.ee/post/547600
Newbie here. Is there an easy way to identify a beehaw community? I’ve been hitting the subscribe button left and right to build up my profile feed and I’m just winging it here. thanx!
Even the Blue Lagoon was closed as a precaution.
