When you connect a new device to a ‘smart’ tv, you must pay homage to the manufacturer with a ritualistic dance. Plugging and unplugging the device. Turning them on and off in the correct sequence like entering a konami code.
Every time you want to switch devices, the tv must scan for them. And god forbid you lose power, or unplug something. You are granted the delight experience of doing it all over again.
This drives me up the wall with my TV speaker - having to remember name of the settings that get reset for each power outage. If I was smart, I’d note the procedure down somewhere, but nah
I’d add any software that has switched to a subscription or SaaS model. Shit used to be super expensive in the past, but you could at least buy a software and keep it indefinitely for home use. It feels like everything is a subscription model. I have a family budgeting software that is no longer sold as a one-time purchase. I guess new users have to include the monthly cost of the budgeting software in their family now! Sure, the sub version has fancy ways to integrate your bank accounts, but doing it by hand every couple of weeks really makes you aware of what you are spending.
I sound so old lmao
A shit candy bar, some random tube socks, and off-brand hair growth meds
Some kind of random stuff from the drug store or discount store. Just a “I put minimal expense and effort into getting this.”
I think “selling ice to Eskimos” is the American equivalent. Naturally, the version of this phrase: 1) involves an exonym that’s a bit offensive 2) kinda makes doing a pointless exercise sound like a good thing.
Seconding the therapy suggestion.

Climate change means worse weather and more storm damage. Insurance companies need to make money off the deal so they raise rates or stop insuring properties.
Natural disasters and other “acts of god” are becoming more relevant - especially as some states, like Florida, have more insurance companies pulling out. Flood insurance is often unaffordable too.
Other side of my couch
Edited to remove my word replacement guess at this
On a similar subject I’m currently playing Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and there aren’t any Final Fantasy Tactics, FFT:A, or FFT:A2 remakes currently out, so I’m looking for anything that uses the same combat system as them, again on Switch.
Seconded the Fire Emblem and Fell Seal recommendations, and adding in Front Mission, which has remakes on Switch.
Like BelieveRevolt mentioned, it’s based on a Japanese comic called All You Need Is Kill
what if I get in some accident and have amnesia and cannot remember my master password
NGL, you’d probably have bigger problems than remembering passwords if that’s the case.
This looks cool - thanks!
Yeah, it’s surprisingly heavy on hardware requirements!
What was the other game you played? A Short Hike?
I would like something halfway between Snowrunner and European Truck Simulator, with a well written single player RPG story mode where you get to help people by delivering stuff.
I want this but for a flight simulator.
Or, something like Breath of the Wild only without fighting.
Have you tried Sable?
Not VR, but I think the ancient Egypt Assassin’s Creed had a mode where you learn about the pyramids. Wish they did more stuff like that.
If you have a low caffeine tolerance, maybe it might be a bit much for you. If you regularly drink coffee or whatever, drinking a single energy drink here and there probably won’t kill you (any more than most things).
