Having said that, I’m still hoping that Physics Girl gets better and makes it back to the spotlight. Poor lady fell ill during the pandemic and has been bed-ridden for years. I hope she’s doing better at least for herself and her family.

He’s passionate and wants to share that with people in his own way. I don’t mind that. I want to see more people who inspire us into those ideals even if they don’t fulfill them themselves.

As an ESL, I felt that in my bones. One time my boss asked me to get the pail to water the plants and my only exposure to that word had been the wailmer pail from the Pokémon games that I misremembered as a “whalepail”. It was awkward trying to explain why I was stumped.

That second part is harsh but that’s how my grandparents treated my mother in the 60s. She and her siblings would get spanked if they made too much noise in a household of 8. I hope your parents didn’t treat you that way. I want to think some of those attitudes were dropped after the 80s.

I used to love in-game cheats as a kid. The ‘motherlode’ cheat on the Sims & the button combinations in GTA were great. Being able to summon a tank and roll over everything on-demand was awesome. I liked how those games embraced it and made things a whole lot more fun.
