Where I work we often see tricolored bats. They’re just the cutest lil’ nuggets, killing off the local mosquitos. You go, wee nugget of the sky.
Be autistic as well and give in to the autistic need for structure and routines.
Ja
Edit: fuck my original comment was meant for a different post lol
Aw man, I’ve honestly forgotten how much I’d enjoyed KenM from the other realm.
Edit: okay I just realized this was on the wrong post. Fuk
Never tried myself, but I’ve two sets of pals that are in poly relationships. The best advice they gave my curious mind on the topic is “If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a hell no.” I’m still curious about trying some time, but it’s certainly not a “hell yes” for me.
I will say on the picky eating habit, that can be a common behavior seen in autistic folks. With me my picky eating stems from texture - if a food feels weird in my mouth I get nasty gag reflex or vomit. Doesn’t matter how often I try, there’s foods and ingredients that, if I chew on it, I will vomit. It fucking sucks. I have to swallow my edibles whole with water cause most gummies make me vomit if I chew them.
Obviously not all picky eating habits are autism related, but myself and the other autistic picky eaters I know are just as frustrated, if not more, about having those habits.
Being stuck on music though, that I can understand. Even with me having my comfort zones, it’s always an occasion worth celebrating when I find an artist or album that absolutely SLAPS me silly from how rad it is.
The modern political climate in my country is bad enough to make me suicidal, so I avoid as much of it as I can.
Last time a recruiter harassed me via text he tried to convince me of all the kickass benefits and fun of being in the military. Straight up just told him “Dude, if you put a gun in my hand, you’re going to be responsible for a suicide. Not happening.” For some reason he never replied.
Not for long. Iirc they’re planning on having them removed for purchase for good.
Why do ya need tons of money for shorts? I can buy some $15 shorts at Walmart just easily.
Name recognition sells clicks better than being concise and clear in your messaging.
Prolly better apps out there (I’m naturally weary of anything like this that’s advertised so heavily by sponsored YouTube channels), but so far I’m quite enjoying Babbel. I wish it had the option for like a kinda soft competitive thing like Duolingo had. Trying to work enough to stay at least in my current bracket, and rewarding the player for doing lessons in the morning and before bed, absolutely helped my autistic ADHD ass with sticking to the routine. Gotta maintain that streak, right?
I’ve been having better luck with Babbel lately since it actually teaches ya stuff rather than throwing vocabulary at ya. I’ve learned more grammar in 2 weeks of Babbel than an entire 10 months learning Dutch on duo
Batteries are easy to get thanks to Cameron Sino! They make brand new batteries for old devices from cameras to PDAs.
As for parts, depends! Some you can easily find broken/untested units for cheap to grab parts off of. Others like my daily driver, the Sony Clié PEG-UX50 (It even flips around to hide the keyboard!), is rarer since it was top of the top of the line, and therefore wicked expensive ($700! Today that’s worth $1,200!) Working units can be found but command high prices, and it needs a special dingus cradle for charging. Without the cradle, you can’t charge as it doesn’t take USB power.
A lot of the time, untested units usually just need a new battery and they kick right back on. Every untested device I’ve bought was much cheaper than working, and one fresh battery later it starts right up.
Ah nah, Personal Digital Assistants! They’re basically Smartphones with half the smart and none of the phone. Pocketable computers that do a lot of what modern phones can do - but worse because it’s 20+ year old tech.
Oh yeah, there’s definitely a reason why the iPhone took off so well lol
I collect mid-2000s PDAs!
A scholar of the lads down low, or just a fan of that one bogan who yells at plastic, throws chairs at cars he calls nuggets, and hollers at his snake while drumming xD
I want what you’re having mate, might make sleeping off this awful fever better.
Honestly though I’m here for this level of personification. When something is very important to someone it often takes on a perceived personality which is just super fun for jokes and banter with them.
