Using a password manager would avoid this. Everyone should ideally use unique passwords per service, that way a single account can’t compromise the others.
The loss of personal data however is fricking annoying. If a company has no legitimate reason, I avoid signing up to them.

Personally I’m noticing the opposite.
I tend to do a lot of technical-related searches. I’m finding I’m getting consistently better results from DuckDuckGo / Bing – what I’m looking for is usually available on the first page without having to faff around.
With Google however, it was drawing parallels to what I’m looking for but not what I explicitly queried. I had to either enable verbose search, or manipulate the search to look for specific words. Even then what I was looking for was in the 3-4 page.
When marking my own homework, it’s always 100%
I never had an issue with YT’s 1-2 skipable ads at the beginning, or even the banner ad. But they got greedy.
The midrolls and the unskipable ads was the trigger point for me.
They don’t care. It’s about control and real estate.

Whilst absolutely true for the short term, the ‘lifetime’ emissions of a EV can be up to 70% lower than petrol cars in countries with renewable electricity, or 30% lower in the UK now with its mixed power generation.
Yes, if everyone switched to a EV today, the environmental impact would be immense due to manufacturing. But if they switched to it after their current ICE vehicle usable life has expired, longterm it would be better for the environment.
They’re not specifically targeting their protests to inconvenience the influencers, politicians or industries supporting the licensing of Big Oil. The majority targets making a large spectacle, with a significant amounts of criminal damage - something to become news-worthy.
Not once have I seen them promote alternative policy changes for oil & gas use. They’re also not promoting projects dealing with climate change.
They’re certainly getting exposure, but they’re not winning the public vote. I agree with their cause, but I despise their methods.

Agree with her views on algorithm transparency, however abolishing anonymous accounts won’t improve the situation around misinformation.
Facebook has required your real name for a long time, and it still resorted into people dissecting into echo chambers supporting their views points.
Yes, anonymous accounts allow people to hide behind a mask, but a lot of people spreading misinformation aren’t afraid of being humiliated or ridiculed. It even helps spread it faster (celebrities, influencers, etc) in a lot of situations.
Even if they were blocking posts, it’ll be because FB purposely wrapped them to look like an Ad
