Huw Edwards may - or may not - be many things but rich is not one of them. He was a television news anchor on the BBC. A bang-average Premier League footballer could easily out earn him.

Elon Musk is the joke. It’s just not funny.
An actual, real, self-confessed, Hitler-loving Nazi? Yes. I’d punch them until my arm fell off and then I’d borrow my friend’s arm to punch them some more…
Couple of teeth, bit of an ear, part of a finger plus a couple of dents on my flesh. Something very big went “boom” near me. I’m also a bit deaf in one ear. I am incredibly lucky to have survived, let alone walk out. All of it will be patched up apart from the finger - even my hearing might come back. You might not notice if you pass me on the street but if you sat opposite me you probably would. It’s no big thing.
That I’m missing a couple of body parts… nothing that big, major or important though so it doesn’t really hinder me.
Enough with your psyop, Bill. Go back to trying to cure malaria to atone for your past sins.
They most certainly do - and appear to have always been. Look at the Hijra or another similar group. Do you really think that of all the billions and billions of humans that have been made that nothing has ever gone slightly differently than usual at around week 9 of pregnancy when biological sex begins to be determined? Really? If you can be born missing a limb or fused to your twin it’s not a stretch of imagination to realise it could be possible to land somewhere in the middle of the two established biological sexes.
Apart from the fact you can hide photos in your album this is so out of touch with reality… applying stop and search with your kids. Imagine a high ranking police officer forgetting about how important trust is in any two-way relationship.
For only seven seconds worth of drumming the Amen Break’s influence and reach is mind blowing. It literally changed (modern, western) music.
“I do.” to the vicar…
Edit: this is a joke. I’m not some kind of disrespectful philanderer irl.
I discovered that a small strip of dead land at the side of my friends’ brand new house was available to buy for loose change from the original land owner (a once giant estate that had been broken up into parcels at auction) Fast forward three years or so later and the developer started stage two of the house building, another 850 houses. Guess whose tiny parcel of land was needed for utilities and access due to the terrain? We basically picked a number out of the air and the next day the cheque / check arrived. Paid off the mortgage, sold the house and paid about 90% the price of their dream home straight away and had a bit left over too. Can’t help but think that somebody somewhere lost their job/contract over that.
The B1M have a video about this - seems an excellent idea. I hope the area gets back to what it was quite soon.
Thanks, my friend. I shall take a look at that.
I understand someone’s economic views would necessarily push them to one side or the other but what I’ve never understood is why gun ownership is so political in the US. From where I am it just seems sad that there’s people in a first world democracy that “need” to be armed just to go out and buy an ice cream. It blows my mind that more isn’t done by all sides (political, manufacturing and citizens) to lower the body count. Any society where members of the public are indiscriminately gunning each other down surely has a big problem. I have zero problems with fire arms - just their application in the US seems a bit fucked. But, like you said about the police, if your biggest gun-toting gang are that trigger happy and indiscriminate then I can’t really blame everyone else packing as a result. Kind of a chicken and egg situation. Hope it works out for you all one day.
Damn. I knew about elephants and donkeys but now I’ve got to read up on rhinos… all jokes aside it looks like polarisation is the problem - which is the two party problem. It must be so frustrating to have views you can’t sensibly talk about objectively with the majority of your peers.
Yeah. Succinctly put. I hope things improve, or at least change, at some stage; but as I said in another reply I don’t think the short term prognosis looks too healthy. Best of luck to you.
For as long as people like you exist there’s some hope… but I do fear ‘24 won’t be a year of political reconciliation. Perhaps things must get even worse before they improve? Good luck whatever happens.
Good point. The idea that Bernie Sanders (?) is seen as ultra left wing is incredible to me. Americans would probably spontaneously combust if they got to read some of the left of centre manifestos from relatively normal European parties.
From a casual outside (the US) observer it just seems like it’s the price that gets paid in a two party state where there are apparently no centrists. Americans give me the impression that it’s either team Red or team Blue. Does anybody ever say: “I like a bit of this… but I also like a bit of that.”?
Exactly. He may well be rich relative to a poor person but in the scheme of overall wealth hoarding he’s not even a blip on the radar. The reason he got the sentence he got is nothing to do with his assets. It would be glib to suggest otherwise.
