Lalo lost because he likes vlogging. So much for the scary powerful smart killer.
Gus left the safe house because he planned that Lalo likes vlogging. Impossibly improbable. Beyond stupid.
Natcho dies because he wasn’t smart enough to come up with a better plan despite frequently demonstrating that he’s smart. I can understand being unable to run from your problems forever, but his ending was the laziest way to show that.
Jimmy and Kim were just passive observers in something that didn’t really involve them. Kim has a life before Jimmy, and the boring life without Jimmy is unfitting of her character. Jimmy never had an expressive turn that justified his change of heart. It was unearned.
Genuinely lazy writing. There was no point for any of these characters to exist. By far the worst final season of a show to ever exist. So much potential wasted.
Did you like that all the character building amounted to nothing? Jimmy, Kim, Lalo, Gus, Natcho all didn’t evolve or have any intresting endings that used their character. You could have replaced every of them with completely new characters during the final season and it wouldn’t change anything.
I wonder why I found True Detective unoriginal but I suspect it’s because I grew up on The Simpsons where philosophy and metaphysicality frequently is the joke and plot of an episode. Maybe a perspective that expanded on and challenged common modern thought would have made True Detective interesting to me, but as it was I felt it lacked insight and purpose. The show didn’t personally expand on anything I knew to be true.
Did you reply to the wrong comment? The finale is only one part of a weak season.
People hate my opinions.
To bad about the ending. Started strong.
Better Call Saul started as the answer to the plot holes in Breaking Bad. It’s a shame the writters abandon that and ended the show on a nothing note.
I couldn’t watch past the pilot. I couldn’t tell you what that goal of Arcane was. It came off like a parody, every character just states how they feel. Pointless show.
Was it ground breaking? It’s just two dudes bad mouthing each other for 20 minutes and a basic detective plot ever 30 minutes. There was no effort to make anything original. Mindhunter is much better despite lacking direction.
I’m not an incel, but I do think there are cultural problems among a large percentage women (and men). I’m bi, but woman often don’t like my less planned out take on life, but men don’t mind it so much.
I also think car based infrastructure and the lack of 3rd places is destroying social circles, contributing to inclism.
I’m surprised that there isn’t an open source guide on how to be an effective eco terrorist and what the most vulnerable global chock points are. People have gone to war over less.
Wasn’t that a misquote?
I’ve hear it generalized that Russian war ships are glass cannons, but obviously that statement isn’t helpful in understanding why that is. I don’t know the details short of the Russians believed their best bet in a naval war with NATO was to overwhelm a war ship defenses with a high consintration of missiles and flee before being targeted, but if attacked first a Russian ship will practically detonate itself. Don’t take my word for it tho.
I dont believe this is completely true. Storm shadows are launched via air craft so the gains on the southern front have little impact of cruise missile range. You are probably right that the attacks on Crimea are done in the hope that the Russians will pull out their ships.
That felt like more like an attack on the dry dock. The sub was there for months I believe and presumably would be less of a target than a sub during a rearming. That attack could be the first of many, but to me it still signals conservatism. We’ll see.
I’m suprised Ukraine hasn’t targetted Russian ships in port. It can’t be to hard to get real time info on a boats location but my assumption is for as damning the Russian navys long rang attacks are, the long range Ukranian strike options are limited and destroying the black sea fleat is not the best use of their stock.
It could also play to Ukraines favor if in a negosiation Ukraine commits to allowing Russia to remove its ships safely in exchange for a relitively bloodless taking of Crimea, but that would be a while away, and would rely on a Russia thats willing to negosiate, but Ukraine can always destroy the ships on a later date.
I love how both liked and dislikes are visiable. Feels less one sided than reddit.
