I wonder what the GOP take on Hunter’s trial is going to be? I’m going to go out on a limb and say, if convicted they will praise it, while at the same time saying Biden has the DOJ weaponized against Trump. If Trump’s DOJ hadn’t shut down all investigations into his crimes I’m sure his Federal ones would have started while he was still in office. He also wouldn’t have had to rush to announce his running to make his cases “political” even though nothing states he can’t be held accountable and campaign at the same time. Running alone shouldn’t be treated as some shield to prosecution as it is due to everyone afraid of looking “political” and feeding right into the crazy arguments from criminals.

Yeah, and then it’s one more group you have to pitch to tax payers, who just see a budget of say a million dollars. They don’t stop to math that out to be a few bucks at most to make it so things actually work for the better. You also have to keep those positions from being filled by people that are going to actively work against any positive like we have seen with school boards. And even having to think about people out to sabotage kids would have been crazy a decade ago, now it’s such a common occurrence.

I feel like this is probably the case nationwide. I don’t think any school district wants to report any numbers that are going to trigger the state to “take a closer look”.

You sound like a very reasonable gun owner to me, sorry for the trouble. Just hope you can understand that from my point of view I know nothing about the other person with a gun. It could be the guy that couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, but sees himself as Dirty Harry just itching to pull his piece out and end a “lesser life”. Who knows when he is firing off rounds like it’s a movie who he might actually hit. That type of scenario I think is most people’s worst fear when they see rulings like this.

If people had to take some kind of renewing mental health assessment, along with some kind of “I actually know how this thing works” assessment every couple of years I think that would also help ease minds. That being said, I think things like an AR-15 should be something that stays at a range (envision some kind of weapon holding/transfer program for moving them between ranges and/or from the dealer) as it has no practical real world application except death (but I’m sure they are fun to shoot).

When is the last time a man or beast attacked you? I mean that in all seriousness, I’m honestly curious with a reaction like that to someone that doesn’t feel safe knowing everyone around them is just waiting to be some kind of Jason Bourne.

I just don’t see how throwing gas on the fire makes it less out of control. Are you really prepared to shoot someone? Wouldn’t a better solution be for sane gun laws that don’t put them everywhere, and doesn’t make it so you have to feel in danger everywhere you go? I just don’t see how our constant bowing to gun lobbing to make sure that the streets are constantly full of guns is helping anyone. And it just can’t be a coincidence that the US is the country with the biggest problem, and also the one where we are constantly trying to arm everyone, everywhere.

But why? When have you ever been in a post office and felt like you needed a firearm to defend yourself? Or the grocery store? Or any of the other places people are pushing to be able to intimidate people by wearing a firearm that immediately lets people know, “look out for me”. I’ve never been to a place I felt like I needed to be armed, and if I did I would probably stop going there. Living in fear of everyone around you to the point you can’t mail a package without your gun probably means you should be seeking some counseling, not a carry permit.

Yeah lots of “drop shipping” folks on Amazon, they buy a pallet of whatever it is from the same source as the top seller and then do some magic to get the “buy box” (the company that shows as default seller). Once they run that person out of business they are free to raise pricing until they no longer are winning the buy box again.

Amazon has also gotten bad with who it allows to sell on the site, and has been known to lump similar SKUs together, even ones from different sellers. This becomes especially troublesome when someone in the stack is selling counterfeit items.

All that is to say, pay attention to who you are buying from, and be on the lookout for counterfeit items.

EDIT - I don’t think this is the case here, but Amazon is also known to look at the users location and device and change prices accordingly. A great example of this is that sometimes a user buying from an Apple device (desktop or iPhone) will pay more than a user from a cheaper Android or Windows PC for the same item.

That article sounds like a bunch of religious nuts making threats and calling parents that let their kids join an inclusive club instead of one of hate, bad parents. This reads like they 100% gave a platform to the nuts, instead of showing how the club overcame their hate.

It’s all they got, they have absolutely no platform that any of them can agree upon anymore. It’s divide the country and confuse the base so they don’t catch on, and then grift like it might all end when Trump is convicted.
