I’m a millennial, but I fucking hate driving and gave it up a while ago. My eyesight is really bad due to misformed corneas so I have trauma from being forced to drive at a younger age. I eventually moved to a major city and got rid of my car the first chance I could (fun fact, leases are scams!). I love being able to walk/take public transit anywhere I want now, but unfortunately leaving the city is incredibly hard.

I was once handed five tickets for driving without insurance, while the cops held my valid insurance in their hands. I had to take time off of work to go to traffic court and get them thrown out. They almost didn’t because of systematic bureaucratic hell but that’s a different story.

Precisely. My whole life I was told to stay away from fat and eat my fruits and veggies. I loooove fruits and veggies, but was only recently told they were high in carbs in my 30s. I just assumed they were healthy since that’s what I was told my whole life. Kinda sucks since I’m repulsed by seafood and am not a big meat eater (I identify as flexitarian).

The closest thing to formal education about nutrition I received were the now-obsolete posters of the food pyramid randomly plastered around my middle school.
