We have been here before. I don’t remember who made it but there’s a really good video on YouTube explaining why better help started another massive ad campaign on YouTube. Better help was involved with a fraudulent doctor finder website that was directing people to better help. That website got shutdown by the FTC just before better help increased YouTube funding so the hypothesis is they are trying to recoup that lost income because it was a significant revenue source.
I love mikrotik especially their switches as they are the only vendor making relatively affordable 100 gigabit gear. I completely agree their software isn’t user friendly which I why I didn’t endorse them. Plus I don’t really have experience with their wireless access points nor have I seen any in the wild.
I’ve actually never had any problems with their support the two times I had to RMA some dead products but maybe I’ve been lucky.
There’s a few routes (pun intended) you could go.
DIY with opnsense on an old PC will give you the most flexibility and will allow you to build your router to your exact needs.
Ubiquiti is also another choice albeit a contentious one. Their hardware is pretty good which also doesn’t require a recurring charge to use (unfortunately rare when you get into the enterprise grade gear). The software side is where people have such mixed feelings as for consumers and prosumers it’s pretty good but when you start getting into enterprise level configurations you’ll find their software pretty lacking. For example if you need a L3 switch for inter VLAN routing you’ll want to go with a different vendor as ubiquiti’s L3 is practically broken.
For 12k a month just the DDoS protection would be worth it for a site of that nature and size but they also get CDN access with full control over the caching, and a web application firewall.
The way I see it the casino was trying to plate share at a buffet and got caught so now they are complaining about having to pay the correct amount.
The obvious awnser would be VR and AR where the faster the refresh rate is the less likely you are to get motion sick. A display with a refresh rate that high would be displaying a frame every millisecond meaning if the rest of the hardware could keep up a headset using this display would be able to properly display the micro movements your head makes.
Mold is actually the biggest concern with the most popular archival format LTO. EMPs aren’t that much of a concern. Bit flips and bit rot are your main concerns traditionally when using flash for archival storage. It’s recommended if you go the flash route to keep your array hot (ie powered on) and use a file system with data scrubbing capabilities such as ZFS.
I’m pretty sure that spare tire is only there for the joke. With off roading tires that large they are almost definitely bead lock tires which can be ran at very low PSI without risk of the tire departing the rim. On top of that the tread is much thicker meaning punctures have to go deeper before they cause problems and most of the time came be fixed by simple plugs.
Not to mention the logistics of changing a spare on a tire of that size. A bottle jack is completely out of the question and you wouldn’t be able to use a farm jack safety with the body that high. Even if you could how are you going to get that wheel onto the studs when it weighs over 300Lb?

Let’s not forget this isn’t the first time proton has given away the IP of an individual and last time was even worse because proton at the time was directly advertising they kept no IP logs which they had to quietly remove after giving the Swiss feds the IP.

Novartis isn’t the company who are denying it, that would be the insurance company Mosaic’s Health Care Trustees who aren’t covering it because it’s too expensive as stated in the article.
Insurance companies will do anything possible to get out of paying for specialty tier medications from using ‘step therapy’ where before they will approve the medication your doctor approved you must first try and fail all the available medications starting from least expensive. Insurance companies typically also charge a presentage on speciality drugs for the copay as a deterrent from being prescribed those medications. Currently the advocacy side of some large disease-focused charities such as the arthritis foundation are trying to get congress to federally ban step therapy and set a cap for specialty tier drug copays like they have for the other drug tiers.
Except Zolgensma’s R&D was funded through the NiH. The only reason why it costs millions per dose is because Novartis bought AveXis for 8.7 billion solely to acquire the rights to Zolgensma.

It’s only bad for DC motors to use dynamic brakes (proper name) and even then it’s only bad for them when coming to a complete stop. Using DC motors to slow down is perfect fine. AC motors don’t suffer the same issues and can utilize dynamic brakes at any speed including to a complete stop
The worse part is that it’s completely possible for tesla to get rid of the brakes and rely solely on the motors for stopping, at least on the vehicles with AC motors. It would be a really stupid idea since braking effort is directly tied to the shaft speed meaning you get less brakes the slower you are moving and you wouldn’t be able to brake while fully charged but hey it’s still possible.
Ubiquiti unifi: pretty preformant while being dead simple to set up. No licensing fees but upfront price is steep. If you really get into networking you will find their hardware and software stack limiting especially if you need speeds greater than 25 gigabit.
Mikrotik: single handedly the best value out there. Their OSes can be confusing at times and you may need some CLI skills to do everything but it’s a good learning platform.
Opensense: highly flexible where you can tailor your experience to exactly what you need. If you are the type of person who wants all of the bells and whistle along with fine granulated controls this is your option.
Openwrt: a good choice if you already own a supported device but I personally wouldn’t go out and buy hardware for openwrt when opnsense is a better option.
Cisco: there are two types of people who buy Cisco, those who are obtaining their CCNA and those who have their CCNA.
tp-link omada: directly marketed as a ubiquiti unifi competitor but cheaper. Being a new line of products it’s not really time tested. I’ve heard very polarizing opinions on them so your milage may vary.
meraki: Cisco’s other brand. Sometimes you can get their hardware for free because they make all of their money off of the licensing fees.
