Very interesting. There seems to be a lot of rules, but they all at least make good sense and look after the birds.

What do you do with what they catch? Is it mainly rodent and birds, or do they catch stuff like rabbits or squirrels that people eat?

Can you actually buy raptors? I was under the impression they were all caught wild, and then had to be released after a certain time period.

I did see though when I looked up “wild take” that means removing pre-fledged birds from the nest. They can’t be sold though.

The state regulations I pulled up said out of state birds could be brought in, but not released. Do people just import birds from other countries with poor rules?

Drag threw me for a loop the first time drag replied to me. I assumed it was a bit at first because this is the Internet and all, but I looked at drag’s history to see what the story was, since it’s not like anyone gives an introduction before commenting.

Other than the pronouns, Drag’s posts are like anyone else’s. Nothing was trollish, and Drag has explained drag’s pronouns a few times. It’s interesting to see drag’s idea is to create something simpler, but as it is not very English in structure, it sounds very strange at first. I think I’ve gotten the idea now, though I have had to make a few corrections as I type this.

First, I think people should be able to be whoever they want to be, especially online, if they aren’t doing things to be jerks. Drag has not done anyone wrong that I’ve seen. So if Drag asks me to call drag by something, why wouldn’t I? Drag has engaged with me in a friendly way, so I owe drag the same.

Second, I enjoy it as a creative exercise. It keeps my mind engaged while writing what would otherwise be a bland reply. It’s kind of fun to see language experience some flexibility and evolution, and if it honestly makes Drag feel better about drag’s self, I can accommodate that. If you can’t abide that, just move on and let Drag live drag’s life.

Even though most of us are liberal here, it doesn’t mean we’re free of bias or not stuck in our own ways. Even if we don’t get something, it doesn’t hurt us to cooperate with someone that it does make sense to. That’s just my feelings though.

I don’t have it installed right now, as I’ve been trying out a FOSS reader for a while now on my new phone, but there is a troubleshooting section about syncing on their site, and also they recommend this guide made by a user discussing sync troubleshooting.

I may be misremembering on the pacing. I do remember liking season 2 more, though at first when I saw they were going to magic school I was worried what direction things were going to go in, but I really enjoyed Chise making friends and Elias’s attempts and the accompanying adventure. The school felt like a real place, not just an excuse to do magic things.

I’ve seen some comments here saying they didn’t when Frieren took a diversion to magic school, and I felt the same at first again, but I think they did enough unique things with it as well.

They don’t want to come to America, they want their own homes to be safe, but they are not, nor will they be in the foreseeable future.

If anyone in America, England, Germany, Greece, etc was in the same situation, they would be doing the same, because no one would want to live in that or to put their families through this. But all those that want to close off the borders to these people are swatting away those hands reaching out for help. All these major countries did things to help create the situations these people are trying to escape from, but they refuse to own up to it. We did these people dirty and then we ignore them as they die for it.

It’s just so frustrating to see, and to not see any country showing us a good example of humanity or compassion.

I like the collar and bow! It looks very modern while still having some age of knights and damsels in high towers charm.

It’s a little slow and unevenly paced, but overall I do solidly enjoy it. There are some really great characters and arcs and I especially loved Elias trying to make friends. My girlfriend absolutely loves this show as well, so it’s something everyone can watch and enjoy I think.

I powered through as I kept hearing everyone recommend this. It felt pointless because I didn’t get watching a cooking show about stuff you could never eat because it isn’t real.

The comments I read said it took a tonal shift when they finally got back to the red dragon. It’s about halfway through, which took me weeks to get to.

The second half is awesome! If this is what it was like all along, it would have been amazing. The first half gives you nothing to expect what the second half is, which makes it feel more intense, but I still feel is kinda terrible pacing.

I want more now because the characters really are good, which is probably why they used that first half the way they did, but it was tough before seeing where it was going. Frieren had a much better buildup before it really started getting serious for example.

Not to deviate too much from the article, which seemed to focus on how school lunchrooms have adopted outside payment options that use a Ticketmaster inspired fee model, but the lunch “base price” at least is better than I had expected.

The “back in my day” price was 85 cents in the mid 80s to I believe $1.85 by the time I graduated high school in the late 90s. For it to have ok not gone up about 50% since sounds better than the price increase on many other things, especially with food prices of the last few years.

It’s cheaper than the cheapest fast food meal and much less than my cheapest meal at work, while likely being nutritionally somewhere between the 2.
