there are examples like VIP where even though we could pronounce it we pronounce each letter individually.
This always seemed a bit weird to me. In Sweden we do pronounce that as a word. Vipp.

Non-acronym initialisms are an exception. I wouldn’t pronounce the letters in German.
It’s staying up until January 13th as it’s supposed to.
Was it Mob Rule? I didn’t play it enough to remember specifics, but it was from that era and had a distinct, blobby character design.
I’ve used Startpage for a year or more on my main computer and it works okay.
But if anyone has any tips for a search engine that actually supports queries with boolean logic and such, I’d be all for it. Lately they all seem to just not do that anymore.
I vastly prefer a search engine in the EU, that respects the privacy laws here.
Oh, shit. I don’t have that detailed knowledge of US history. 1852. That’s almost 100 years after its founding, right? I had no clue it took that long to spread west.
Anyone but the driver could watch.
That’s true. But I was thinking the motif might be from before all that.
The rifle is just chilling. The dude’s plowing.
Someone said in another comment that 440 ml is the default multipack can for the UK and that can plus contents add up to 1 lb that way. I don’t know if this is true. I could see US beer imported via UK being a thing though.
Edit: And if you mean whether I would expect 470 ml over 500 ml, then no. 500 ml is very much the European standard can.
Bonuses should not be expected, or they’re not bonuses. I get that. But making them available only to those able to do some physical test is discrimination.
Wow. I saw it as the two people sharing the land. I did not see it as fleeing. Still a terrible flag, and even more so if it can be interpreted so differently.
It looks a bit like the logo of some shipping company.
A lot of imported beers come in 440 ml cans. US ones in particular. But I agree that it feels scammy, because we expect them to be 500 ml.
But LTT-Linus is 17 years younger and Canadian. O_O
Believe it or not, I’m also from Sweden, and most people I know have it set to 19-20, and one guy 18. I’ve never seen 23(!) I can’t believe they’re native Swedes.
Wind is a factor too
True
also if it’s 20c inside imma be cold.
Seriously? I’ve seen people go to 18 °C on the thermostat but not above 20. Are you from a super hot place?
We can still easily wear shorts at least part way into October in Denmark. It’s a great place to live. I do hate the rain though.
I mean room temperature is 20 °C (68 °F) so wearing shorts and T-shirt should be the norm imo. If it isn’t colder outside than inside, why put on more clothes?
And that’s totally fair, in my opinion. Speech has to flow in the language you speak, or you’ll sound like an idiot. As long as people don’t go around claiming to know and teaching others pronunciations for things that they themselves don’t pronounce the way that was intended.
