I didn’t realize that. That’s disheartening.
I didn’t realize that. That’s disheartening.
It’s hard for me to imagine 2024 not being the year they do.
I was about to say “How would people know who you meant?” but I’m pretty sure it would catch on.
I mean the physical design of the gun, not the projectile or effect.
I’m a simple man. Same answer for decades.
Someone somewhere is already planning how they will get people to work around the clock this way, and someone else somewhere is probably desperate enough to feed themselves or their family that they’ll take it when offered.
The entire apparatus of the United States justice department and executive branch has so far not succeeded in doing more than pissing him off about Jan 06 and election fraud, but this one woman has bloodied his nose repeatedly. Bravo I say!
Maybe this is going to be the one thing he sees actual consequences for.
Side note - pretty sure losing cases like these would have killed anyone else’s political career and presidential aspirations. It’s a real shame we already used up the Teflon Don nickname.
Yeah, I’d think outside of movie-style moments it’s not something that makes sense 99.9% of the time, I just thought it was an interesting claim. It would have been more interesting if it were true. 😁
(to be clear I’m not the guy who made the claim)
I did find a great many links to articles about this one event, but so far nothing to support that they do it regularly.

Something d-o-o economics. Voo-doo economics.
The coverage seemed very low key compared to usual. I don’t know what to make of that.
My apologies for allowing my general cynicism regarding online discussions to color my perception of your tone. 🙂
Well, they are going to have to do everything perfectly. One screw up of any kind and for the next ten years every discussion of diversity or women in leadership positions is going to include a Republican saying, “Yeah, well just look at what they did to St. Paul.”
Am I going to find you railing about DEI in other comments if I trawl your history? I haven’t, but this is worded like the kind of complaint that comes from someone who normally thinks diversity is awful, except when it’s old white guys being excluded.
It’s not about sounding intellectual, it’s about recognizing that Trump’s behavior leads directly to these actions. Yes, magas are little bitches about everything, but those little bitches aren’t randomly fucking shit up, they are doing so for their leader and in direct response to his rhetoric and wishes.
I didn’t know that, but it clearly worked well enough. 😬
The phrase you’re looking for is “stochastic terrorism”
(that’s not snarkiness from me, that’s the title of the article)
Timothy McVeigh seems to have proven that far right whackos are very capable of building a good bomb. Be careful what you wish for.
Honestly I see elections as voting for your preferred enemy. They are never on our side. How about this, we agree that he’s better than Trump and that any reasonable person is forced to vote for him, and then we criticise him because we want better than neoliberal austerity and genocide apologia?
You get no argument from me.
It wasn’t a comparison to Gotti except for a lamentation that the name has been used already. Though if it ends with Trump behind bars too, I can’t complain. I’d like to feel some of this turns out to be more than just an annoying inconvenience for him.
