If it’s “going back to live there” - then almost definitely no.
If it’s “going back temporarily” - then I don’t know.
I neither have any property there nor I feel strong “connection” to it , so the only reason for me to go there is to visit my family/friends, but I hope they will be able to visit me instead.
It mostly depends on whether I’ll be able to go there without repercussions.

I had to register with “draft office” before I left the country, so they definitely know about me.
Probably I’m not considered a criminal for now, as members of my family who are still in Ukraine did not receive a “draft notice” addressed to me. If they do ever receive it though, then probably I’ll be considered a criminal shortly after (because obviously I am not going to answer it).
I don’t closely follow the new laws they pass though… Maybe I am already a criminal because I didn’t update my data with the “draft office” or something 🤷♂
As a Ukrainian, I can’t even imagine ever dodging a bigger bullet than when I left Ukraine before the war started…
If I had stayed there I’d have to either constantly hide from the “draft officers” or risk my life trying to either (of course illegally) cross the border to Romania through mountains/rivers or to the occupied territorries. Or I’d just be dead already from a shell…

Maybe because they don’t control it, and it is propaganda from people within the USA, telling you that you should vote for their party instead of the other party? :)

Being called fascist (which happens a lot on Lemmy for some reason) when speaking out against Ukrainian government which ticks almost all the boxes from the fascism definition on the wikipedia (dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy), is a brand new level of irony… :/
Oh yeah, to forcefully kidnap people from the streets/homes, put them into vans and send them to die a horrible death or not, a truly tough decision we got here…
And please don’t forget, those people for whom this is a hard decision are the good guys trying to save the world, while those who see this as totally not fucking okay are fascists, Russian bots, “want to take our freedom away and kill us”, etc.
The other man already does, for two years, things that made hundreds of thousands people die, get wounded, suffer, etc.
You are asking how people do not understand that you want Trump to be dead because he might hurt people you love, surely with your empathy skills you will be able to understand how people might hate Biden (and perhaps even want to see him dead as well) for what he did (and continues doing)?
Or is it only sad when the people you love are suffering? The other people do matter, right?
