I know plenty of assholes who aren’t rich, so I don’t think there’s any correlation.

The cheapst way is this: Don’t lie to your children. Take responsibility for your choices. Talk to your children and explain why an adult needs to make responsible choices.
Yes. Bicycle pedals for instance.
The odd left-threaded screws are called Linksgewinde in German. Knowing this, you can sort of figure the rest out.
They made it into a 4 episode tv show called “Accidental Renovators”
Don’t walk in the bike path.
4th. of July is celebrated in Rebild, which could be a nice excuse to drive through the country and meet other Americans in Denmark.
It’s a trick. There are no roads north out of Denmark.
Have you seen this tv show? Worth a watch if you’re bored.

No problem. Have fun.
I don’t know if there’s a community for this, but anyway, this is my “surf guitar”.:
It’s been a few years but it still looks like the day I made it.
The kit I used was a Harley Benton from Thomann.
It was all pretty straight forward. The kit was made to be assembled with a bolt on neck all predrilled, so it was basically just shaping the body and headstock and then paint and varnish.
I did look up some painting techniques, but I really just wanted to stain the wood, so I did that with a brush and then 2 coats of varnish. I had to sand the wood first to make it more open for staining instead of paint. If you want to paint or spray paint you should probably keep or make a base coat to avoid the wood absorbing the paint.
It was a cheap stratocaster-like kit, so I wasn’t too concerned with making mistakes, but I’ll admit that putting the saw into a guitar was a little daunting at first.
I used a multi-cutter for most of it to make very precise cuts. And lots and lots of sandpaper by hand with different grit sizes.
It only took a few evenings to do, so it is not difficult at all, but I guess it depends on how much you want to customize it.
Yes absolutely, I enjoyed it and might do it again sometime with a different kit.
I do have a lot of tools already so that wasn’t costly, only good practice, but it did take somewhat longer than I expected.
I wouldn’t attempt to make the neck and fretboard from scratch, so a kit with a good neck is a good starting point.
Reading the article, it says that both men and women attended the protest against rape culture in France, so the real issue is that France has a rape culture. People vs culture.
This comment section however is about a few of the signs that a few of the protesters carried, and/or the comments from the self proclaimed feminist representative who says they’ll use these protests to promote their own agenda. That’s different, because that’s a gender issue. Men vs. Women.
I understand why some people are annoyed by that, because it splits the people instead of uniting them against the primary enemy: The culture.
Anyway this is just a lemmy thread, and it doesn’t matter who is right, but it shows that even talking about it is a distraction from the “real issue”, because while we are discussing signs and rape statistics, nobody is talking about the rape culture.
I don’t know exactly what the feminist representative wants to do, or if she has a point, but I do believe that we need to be able to unite both men and women to speak freely against the culture, because rape culture is enabled by people who don’t speak about it. Alienating half of them is bad timing in that regard. To stop rape culture we need both men and women to speak against it.
I hope this makes sense. This thread has gone completely off the rails…
I saw a headline on some guitar magazine “These are the most over priced guitars currently”. Says a lot and it’s true.
There’s not much point in throwing money at a brand name anymore. Quality control is long gone and they all come straight out of a factory anyway. It’s alright though, because factory quality is decent, and with a little know-how you can easily make them play good.
My best guitar is a $100 kit-build. Acknowledging that I’d need to do a full setup on any guitar I figured I might as well paint and assemble it myself, because I’m not going to pay several hundreds just for a paint job and a logo.
Looking at the Cybertruck, I think his plan is simply to destroy EVs. Same thing as Twitter.
Both companies are/were evaluated way higher than what they are worth and purchased with loans that are completely insecure, but costing very real interest.
It also looks as if Elon is doing a little totally legal “asset stripping” of the goodwill by paying out huge options to himself before the companies eventually go bust. I would not be surprised if the Saudis or other co-investors are footing the interest on the loans in the meantime. It’s a small price to pay to get rid of those companies obstructing their business.
Ok, now I’m not a linguist and also not English, but in my opinion there’s a difference. “People” is a broad undefined group. “Persons” is a more defined group.
Adding “those” in front also alienates them further. So by saying “those people”, you are distancing yourself from them, despite them being your family. That is the amusing part for the person you talked to. You mildly insulted your family.
In a similar vain, “some people say” all the stuff that you won’t to be heard saying yourself, even if it’s your own opinion.
Or in some places (this might be more local) using "you"or even “one” instead of “me” when answering personal questions. For instance if someone asks: “How does it make you feel?” and answered: “It makes you feel sad” then the person answering it is distancing themselves from their own answer by literally answering on behalf on some unknown “you” when they should be using “me”. Using “people” is sort of the same just on behalf of someone else.
Yup, that’s how it’s done when there’s a heat exchanger.
However there’s a reason why the boiler room is usually locked off in a 30 story building. Bleeding a radiator might be relatively harmless, but there’s no way of knowing what the pressure is supposed to be without knowing the entire system.
Some (lower) buildings might even have direct district heating without an exchanger, which is absolutely no go to even bleed.
That depends entirely on how the system is set up. I would only ever consider increasing the amount of water in the system if I was absolutely certain that my apartment was on a completely separate and closed circuit than the other apartments. You should contact the janitor or whatever it’s called.

Tl:dr; drove with the trailer raised.
“You get ahead of yourself sometimes and get out there,” Foster said. “I mean, it could happen to any of us, right? So you just have to be careful.”
It won’t create a very interesting debate though, because OP already excluded most people who followed through on the opposing view in the question itself.
This extra layer of focus really functions as a filter, which can only result in a hall of mirrors.
It’s perfectly fine if OP just wanted to confirm an existing bias and need arguments for that, but it’s absolutely not a very interesting conversation.
