Then don’t use it.
Or fork it and remove all instances of the word. Put the pearls down, you’re grinding them to dust.
Perpetually tired mental health counselor, sometimes retro game streamer, comedian, Mensan, coffee connoisseur, bacon lover, chronic pain survivor, nefarious pirate, and generally all-round nice dude…
Then don’t use it.
Or fork it and remove all instances of the word. Put the pearls down, you’re grinding them to dust.
The torch has been passed…
There’s so many that totally need to come back…
I’m a big fan of Roosevelt’s “mind that functions at six guinnea pig power” and “fragrant man swine.”
Sites like that saved me thousands getting my psych degree. God bless professors like this. Also the ones who were like, “the new edition of the book you need for this semester is $500, but you can get the previous edition for $5 at this site. Here’s copies of the pages that were changed.” or “I photocopied every page you need for this semester from the book for all of you.”
I got my copy free when I bought my PS2 hard drive and never played it once.
I lost my best friend to that game. He got into playing it so much after high school that he basically stopped doing anything else. I’d call him to hang out and he’d ghost me to play the game instead. Eventually I gave up trying…
My friends now want me to get into FFXIV and I absolutely refuse.
Citing it as “an injustice to domestic publishers”, Vietnamese studios reportedly say that local game development “will die” if Steam is able to keep releasing games without the same government scrutiny as domestic games…
Yeah! It’s so unfair that one person can put their heart and soul into making a game on their own, self publish, and be successful! No way anyone else could possibly do that!
Not really anything to do but draw attention to it… It’s not like we have an effective globally governing body to oversee something like this objectively.
Well, yes, but in a broader sense, they have way too much of a stake in the control of global communications altogether. Even just a hiccup on their servers or slight change to their system has a global impact, as obviously evidenced here. The world is dangerously reliant on a centralized private company for daily functioning.
Such a powerful entity shouldn’t be controlled by private parties and needs to be governed in a way that the benefit of the people is kept paramount.
This sort of thing is why Google’s monopoly on the internet is so dangerous.
The original, “The Thing From Another World,” is a truly terrible B-movie classic worthy of MST3K! Totally worth watching to see the masterpiece they turned the story into. The Mary Elizabeth Winstead one, same name, different movie, wasn’t too bad either.
Who likes lemons?
Who likes parties?
Chemical castration is the lowering of hormones medically. Physical castration would by physical removal of the testes.
Welcome back to the dark ages. See you at next week’s drawing and quartering. It’s right after the hangings! Hopefully we get some real kickers!
This reads like someone played The Outer Worlds and was like… “You know what?”
A fun rabbit hole my buddy sent me down a couple weeks ago was how these guys are actually a secret nazi group.
Listen here… If I went around sayin’ I was a jarl just because some damp broad in a stream tossed me a viking sword, they’d put me away!
While it’s unclear what prompted the order, Putin’s interest in former imperial possessions…
“We consider all former nations of the USSR to be former imperial possessions. We will be taking them back.”
“Mister Putin, sir… With all respect, after thorough searching and examination, we have found them to be firmly lodged within your own rectum… We also found what appears to be an antique mold of Adolf Hitler’s dick and balls behind them…”
This pseudo-science conspiracy theory garbage does not belong in news.
Not shocked at all. Things have gone way downhill since I started with the platform. Time was, I’d start up a stream, a dev would come and hang out and actively chat while they worked. Occasionally they’d ask about my opinion about things that were being developed. It felt like actual, meaningful stuff… That was back when it was still Justin.tv and just a little bit after twitch.tv released. When I stopped streaming regularly a couple years ago, even getting a straight answer from a rep on simple questions was like pulling teeth. Then I’d have times where I’d get several different and conflicting responses for simple stuff like if what we were planning for an event would be kosher. Even arranging for some site coverage felt like begging the mob for a favor. “Alright, we’ll get you front page, but it’ll be at 4am, and only for an hour!”
At what point is someone going to say enough with her crazy bullshit and expel her for disorderly behavior? Pretty sure enough people are fed up with her to get a two-thirds…
