The big bang, to see how it all started.

Once again: what’s your proposal to pass federal legislation? It’s far easier to halt all progress than to make any, and Republicans have made the former their entire platform, and are seeing great success.
They did not have a super majority. This is well documented if you actually paid attention.
I love the idea that having Joe Manchin elected as a Democrat means they should have been able to pass every single thing. You clearly were not paying attention to the Herculean efforts put in to sway Manchin that failed. I’d love to hear what you would have done differently to get legislation past Manchin. But I’m guessing you’ll just ignore that, along with my ask as to what extreme right concessions you’d make today.
A) When have Democrats been able to pass legislation on their own?
B) What extreme-right concessions do you want them to make to get enough votes for mildly left policy to pass today? Jail all trans to get a federal minimum wage bump? Is that worth it?
I mean… If it’s ever below freezing, it’s by definition “warmer in the fridge”
Because they’re animated shit monsters. Shouldn’t nea surprise really
A massage never killed anyone, unlike chiropracty. Just get a massage.
I don’t think you understand the level to which people take chiropracty. People use it in a “cures what ails you” mentality. Colds, flu, hand arthritis, all sorts of diseases. There is a ton of danger in allowing “back cracking for healing” when it doesn’t do anything that couldn’t be done with massage.
As mentioned by another poster, it’s a gambling term. But when someone asks “what’s the over/under on…”, you’re kind of asking “what’s the number where there’s a 50% chance of it being either higher or lower.”
With that said, it doesn’t really make sense in this context, imo. They could have just used “chance”
It’s almost like those programs don’t work, and we just need a total prohibition on guns 🤷
People who say that actually want a complete and total ban on guns, but acknowledge the constitution says what it says and amendments are literally impossible in today’s political climate.
Also, one could argue a “well regulated” militia wouldn’t send guns home with its members. It could be kept at a central facility.
Yeah, that sounds much more like what I would have guessed.
You can get a new door and frame installed for about the same cost.
I know cost of living differs, but I find it hard to believe you can get someone to buy and hang a door for $500. Gut check for me would be at least $1000, probably closer to $2k. Maybe 20 years ago you could get that for $500
That’s what I assumed was going to happen and is probably what I’d try to do on my own. Caulk and paint is easily done. PVC will last forever
$675 seems steep for that, but for them there’s also some opportunity cost – if they weren’t doing your job, they could be doing a different job for more money. So instead of saying no outright, they price it up to make it more worth their time.
That’s not true. Depending on bean extraction and quantity, a standard “cup” of coffee will have 100-200mg of caffeine. Black tea bags have around 40-60. A good rule of thumb is about 4x. Getting shit tier coffee goes for about $8/lb and will make around 30 cups, so about 25c per cup. So compared to the meme, coffee is still more expensive per mg of caffeine.
Edit: on Amazon you can get 200mg tablets for about 8c each. So that would be your best bang for the buck. Semi related, an old coworker would dissolve a caffeine pill in hot water and call it “Mormon coffee”; he was a character.
The Baltimore Banner has some great investigative articles on this
