I asked a buddy of mine, if he could recommend only one movie from either Marvel or DC for me to watch, which one would it be? He said GotG. I watched it and loved it, bought the video game, made my husband watch it, who also loved it.

I’ve used Fax.Plus several times with no issues, though not in at least a couple of years. Also used eFax a ton back in the day.
For me it’s Christopher Walken.
I get the Ctrl+z urge too! If only…
Can’t pick a single favorite but yours made me think of one of my favorites that’s a guitar piece: Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson.
Bahaha! Yeah, when he whipped out that 4-way tire iron…
I think whether or not they litter and whether or not they return the shopping cart are two good ways to judge someone’s character.
My first serious boyfriend taught me how to change the oil, change a tire, and rotate the tires on my car. Also that I don’t like anal.
I had completely forgotten about Ventrilo, Team Speak, and Mumble. This whole post is a blast from the past.
I bought a graphic hoodie off the Internet by mailing a paper cheque to a PO Box.
This reminded me of when I first bought something off eBay. I mailed out a check and crossed my fingers.
This unlocked a memory for me of cigarette-shaped… I think it was gum. They came in pastel colors and were coated in a fine powdered sugar.
This guy I had a huge crush on in junior high tracked me down when I was in my 20s. I was thrilled at first, then learned he had turned into kind of a cultish religious nut. Instant turnoff.
Then there’s my first true love from my early 20s. I can’t remember why exactly we broke up but we stayed in touch and even hooked up again some years later. Then we both got married and eventually lost touch. He reached out to me again recently, and I was hit by that same old feeling. But I realize it’s like what you said, it’s a feeling I once had. People change over the years – I sure have – and I know almost nothing about him now. Plus we’re both still married. Still flattering for me though.
Or you’ve fallen victim to LA CHANCLA.
My eyesight went to shit from sitting at a desk and staring at a monitor all day. I wonder if my eyesight would’ve remained perfect well into adulthood without computers.
This is one of my favorites. Also Shawshank Redemption and The Birdcage. Although I learned recently that a lot of humor in The Birdcage goes over the heads of younger people.
Edit: Sharing this here in case you haven’t seen it…
Ooh, crossing my fingers for you! 🤞🏽🤞🏽
What hardiness zone are you in, and have you ever had a paw paw fruit, by any chance? Because if it grows in your area, I highly recommend it. It’s the most tropical-tasting native Midwest fruit I’ve ever had.
I recently did some research on this stuff for a school project and found pretty much the same thing. Also came across Houston as an example of a city where zoning is mixed and the laws are very loose, and it seems to work itself out just fine.
Another “already dead” anecdote:
I was commuting home from school when my ride drove past the immediate aftermath of an accident where a guy was run over by a bus. The tire
hashad gone over his head and there was brain matter splattered on the road. The thing I remember most is that the pulp-y remnants of his head had tire tread marks on it.
