For now I’m pretty much just stuck on Pixel, one of the few remaining brands that reliably (surprisingly) let you unlock the BL. It’s even worse now since I’ve had a taste of the foldy phone and I don’t think I want to go back and that’ll probably take 15 years before ever coming to a Linux/FOSS phone, considering where they’re at now.

Within the deaf community there is a not insignificant group who do see treatments like these as an affront to their community. That there’s no need for treatments because “there’s nothing to fix/treat” and they have absolutely advocated that deaf children (especially born to deaf parents) should remain deaf.

What screen size are you looking for? How do you feel about foldy phones? I’d wait for the Pixel Fold 2 that’s supposed to be dropping in the Fall and all but confirmed to be hitting 8 inchs unfolded if you don’t mind that size of tablet

For me the biggest problem with tablets is it’s never around when I want to do tablet things, having the Pixel Fold 1 that’s been entirely solved

And then it should fill your other requirements as Pixel phones are good about allowing bootloader unlocks (If you’re buying from a carrier and your carrier is Verizon, don’t bother they’re assholes about BL unlocks)
