There is no comparable tech.
You can’t get just a headset with comparable resolution, without the high quality low latency passthrough or the computer, for meaningfully less.

No you can’t.
The resolution is not close to sufficient for a monitor with any meaningful amount of text on it. Your eyes will be bleeding in about 2 minutes.
All you have to do is not block the iPad app though.
lol how much ram does that need when they’re shipping every bit of data on your computer to their servers to do processing on there?
No shit.
It’s never been a secret what incognito mode does. Websites have always still been able to do whatever they want with your traffic, because the browser doesn’t control that in any way.
That’s just the cost of doing business.
The system now is that you have to call them, get bombarded with ads and berated by their customer service for an hour, then maybe they’ll think about cancelling you. And gyms are even worse.
They’re not growing or picking or shipping one banana. They’re growing it by the tree, picking by the bunch, and shipping by huge units.
Like, if I go from 35 to 15 do I go back to school, clear student loan debts, etc?
Because redoing the lead up and college with the maturity to actually try would probably be good.
Then turn off nsfw content.
Or turn off media displaying.
You have options that aren’t thinking you can dictate how people use instances. Or join/host one that outright bans porn if you want.
Why would you need to go to a NSFW focused instance? I could see complaining about the sub, but the server? That’s nonsense.

Hitman.
Fuck the always online shit, but since last time I played they added a rogue lite mode. “Just kill randomly selected NPCs on existing maps” doesn’t sound mind blowing (and occasionally a level feels kind of trivial), but the “die and they’re on alert, die again and start over without your gear” format combined with limited access to gear really does give a fresh, high stakes feel.
There are reporting features. In most jurisdictions, accepting reports and acting on them is plenty sufficient to meet any legal obligations, and many consider scanning every message unnecessarily invasive.
I don’t, and literally everything on here is public, so it’s not identical, but look at the response to Apple’s proposed (otherwise privacy preserving) CSAM scanning on cloud photo backups.
The protocol and software don’t. It’s open source and anyone can use it.
Instance admins can block servers that allow anything that’s illegal (or they otherwise believe is inappropriate) .
lol at the settlement requiring deleting a thread.
It’s not. There’s no evidence for any harm of any kind from THC or the other psychoactive ingredients in adults.
Smoking, specifically, yes, but there are many, many other ways to ingest it, and smoking is most common in large part because of the backwards ass laws.
It’s not like alcohol, where the desired altered state is exchanged for fucking up your liver, kidneys, etc. It doesn’t do any of that, even with extremely heavy use.
The only thing that matters is that (in adults) it’s very clearly demonstrated by abundant research to be perfectly harmless.
In and of itself, the lack of harm makes it impossible for you to be a redeemable human being if you want to tell a consenting adult that they can’t have it.
That’s ignoring all the evidence supporting benefits.
Have you seen how much it costs just to set up mounting for a bunch of monitors? You could DIY it and cut costs a little, but it’s still expensive with decent bit of labor then.
There are plenty of people with several physical monitors, because having information immediately accessible in a concrete location is simply easier and more efficient than toggling virtual work spaces on one desktop. Our brains work in 3D physical space. Presenting information and work spaces the same way has loads of value before the actual objects are also 3D.
I really want absolutely no part of people who don’t understand code using LLMs to submit things they don’t understand. That’s a disaster waiting to happen at best.
If you don’t understand every line you’re submitting completely, you should not be submitting code. It absolutely does need to be restricted to people who know what they’re doing.
