No shit; well, full disclosure, much data was released. And they had to suffer it and then deliver snacks to passengers. It was embarrassing, horrible, unsafe; it was barbaric because I wasn’t well. I could see their shoes not a foot from mine, and there was no visual or audio barrier between us; certainly no air barrier.

Tribalism or just humanity: we are almost set apart by our ability to imagine scenarios and “pre-game” our response. If this was a mechanism to cope with fear of new things or wariness around a risky situation, it’d totally make sense.
