If I have to load elements from the web just to use the electron app properly, I’d rather use a web app and load the whole page each time and not have the tracking.
In the future, maps have been banned. Somehow this never effected space travel.
I love the transparency. Is Kbin’s source code not a viable alternative? I’m also familiar with raddle but I don’t think it’s federated. The devs for kbin seem to at least not have semi-abandoned it.
As an Affinity Designer user for years this looks really wonderful. I’m happy with my Affinity products on my IPad Pro for artistic work so I never look into alternatives, so I had no idea Inkscape was so impressive.
I think we’re at a unique point where windows has pissed off people to no end by continuing to ruin their operating system, and Linux has reached a very mature point. Everyone I know that uses windows hates it now, more than ever, and are finally at the tipping point.
I’m not putting anything in me that’s not foss. I worry for the tech illiterate though when they eventually adopt this idea.
They’ve done such amazing work for Linux. Linux gaming wouldn’t be the same without them.
I can’t wait for this to arrive in the next version of gnome - version 61.05.
I thought this meant they were developing their own alternative to x11 & Wayland. It’s just how windows are arranged on the desktop.
