I’ve never heard this, But it’s great
Trump’s government efficiency guy in action, folks!
The whole thing is brilliant. The Onion has been on fire lately.
I agree. I-m an accomplished cook, but I enjoy the almost set and forget that my Thermomix affords me. I am tempted to get an instant pot type and with my smart Microwave have a semi robotized kitchen.
I have a modern stovetop stainless steel pressure cooker, very common type in Europe. It has three redundant pressure / over pressure relief safety sytems plus a very hard to circumvent locking mechanism that only unlocks at ambient pressure. Instant pot types look interesting, because they expand on the concept, but a major drawback I see is that they are often small (my pressure cooker is 6L) and, basically a dealbreaker for me, the vessel is usually plastic coated, I.e. non/stick. I think I will stick with mine, which coupled with a programmable stovetop induction single heater I own, fulfills part of the features.
Not to disparage your effort, but I looked into music and I only see:

Aaaand I’m out.
This is so lopsided it should be titled “A random collection of free software that has caught my eye”

I’m old. Before internet, I would read the encyclopedia for fun, and spend hours in the library.
“most move on”?
Source? because I believe it’s quite the opposite.
Can’t you run timeshift from a live usb? Never tried, but i believe its possible. Obviously more time consuming and bothersome, but possible.
Two days ago my Mint system got borked by a kernel update. I booted from the grub menu with the prior kernel, and rolled back with Timeshift. Pretty painless. You don’t need Atomic/immutable distros for that sort of reliability.
I’m playing with kinoite in a VM, though.
“Generally” is the key word. I’m a linux user since slackware on diskettes. My daily driver is Mint, because lazy. I have 2 VMs with kali and kinoite.
A couple of days ago a kernel update borked my install. A problem with the Ryzen graphics driver.
For me it was trivial. Boot into the previous kernel, timeshift roll back, and back in business, but I can see how a newbie woul go into panic.
A satisfied “customer” will recommend you to a friend. A pissed off one will tell 10.
If you think its hard to do worse, you haven been paying attention to China
These things (and Seagate’s) have the usb interface soldered on, so if the drivd dies, forget about the data, no way to connect to another usb adapter to try to recover. Granted, it’s usually the drive that dies, but in these cases, you have a 100% rate of non recovery . Any other brand’s are standard drives. My favorite are toshiba.
That’s because in the US you could be sent abroad to kill brown people for oil. I was a conscript in my country in the 80’s (Nato). In my country conscripts couldn’t be sent abroad, only professionals. I’d be ok with defending home soil. That doen’t mean that I wanted to do my tour, but I did it. I think I learnt a lot, not least about serving for the common good. Looking back it was good for me. Also, at hat time, after service you’d be in the reserves (simply listed) and the country could raise an army of millions, who’d only need some refresher training in a week, not like the green ass russian conscripts in Ukraine right now.
I’m favor of conscription for limited duration, and no possibility of deployment abroad. Also, women too. That wasn’t a thing then.

Modern heat pumps, which use the same principle as A/C, can achieve 4 to 1 efficiency. Old fridges can be tanks, but are horribly inefficient. A new high efficiency unit could probably pay itself off in 2 3 years.
